Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated

[Well look who it is back on the network, Vatheon! None other than Zelos Wilder, looking very much alive but perhaps slightly off. Not upset, not angry, just a little... off.]

Ah, hey there. Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm fine and all and, uh... to anyone who actually saw that broadcast, well. It was just a big misunderstanding, alright? No need to look more into it, just me sticking my foot in my mouth.

So what'd I miss?

[ She knew he would come back. She knew that he was going to return, and that he was going to be fine. If she hadn't known herself, her conversation with Zelda would have confirmed it for her.

Still, Estelle can't help the wide eyes and the relieved smile as she sees such a familiar face on the network. And, of course, after spending so much time being emotional over his death, she's going to be be emotional over his life now. Whoops. Those sure are tears in her eyes. ]

Zelos!

[He's... just... gonna pretend he doesn't see those tears. All this outpouring of emotion at him from coming back is a bit too much, honestly. He vaguely remembers trying to comfort Estelle on the SFC as he lay on the forest floor but for the life of him he can't recall what he'd said.

Still, overwhelmed or not, he smiles his usual smile at Estelle.]

Hey my sleeping beauty♥

[ She knew he would return. She had known from shortly after her own arrival that death in Vatheon ordinarily resulted in the deceased returning to life within the next several days. Despite knowing this, however, she was still very much affected when he had died, and it was showing in just how happy she was to see him alive again.

Estelle lifted a gloved hand to wipe her tears away, knowing that he probably didn't want to see them. ]

You're back ...

[ She sniffles a little, and then laughs, a small, sheepish laugh. ]

I-I mean, I knew you would come back, but ...

[ Actually, she's not sure what else to say. ]

Could I come over and hug you?

[ She probably will give him a huge hug next time she sees him anyway. ]

[The last thing he wants is hugs. The last thing he wants is for Estelle to come over here and see him in the state he's in. It's easy to pretend over the network, to keep that plastic grin going, but in person, with how he's feeling, and with her tears...

He hates himself for not letting her anyway, but it's better this way.]

Sorry Hunny, there's too many people over here as it is and I'm still not sure my head's on straight. How about we make a date, okay? Then you can hug me all you want.

[His smile stays strong but his eyebrows knit ever so slightly in an apologetic expression.]

[ Estelle seems a bit disappointed with the response, but she tries not to show it. She understands. There must have been a lot going on right now ... she couldn't even imagine what he must have been going through.

She nods, wiping more tears away as she did so. ]

Of course ... let me know whenever you feel up to it, all right?

[Damnit, with her crying he feels like a heel in the worst kind of way...]

How about next week? We can take some books to the park and just read in the shade. Sound good?

[That's barely a few days but he can't help but push himself even if the thought of trying to be social right now is stressful. He deserves the stress. He made her cry. He's the worst...]

[ That gets her to brighten up. It was a lovely idea! ]

That sounds wonderful! But don't push yourself if you don't feel up to it, all right? At the moment, it's better to focus on feeling better.

[ Dying and being brought back can't be a fun experience, and could leave some pretty bad emotional scars ... once Estelle really thinks about it, she realizes that. Zelos seems to be taking everything all right, but one could never be too careful. ]

Ah, don't worry about me, Sleeping Beauty~ I'm just a little tired. I'll be right as rain again in no time.

[He winks charmingly and reaches to turn off the feed. The date in and of itself sounds nice but the social obligation makes his stomach turn knots. Can't he just have people not worried about him for half a minute? Ugh...

Not that he can blame Estelle. She's just one of those caring types of people. He shouldn't be leading her on like he is...
