Hiya, everybody! Gee, I'm sorry that I've been so quiet fer so long... Minnie got a real bad case of the... whatever-ya-wanna-call-it that was goin' 'round, so I was spendin' every second of every day helpin' her get better.
Now that she's up and at 'em, I figure I should get ta know everyone here better, since it looks like we're all gunna be stuck here a while. So let's make this interestin'... gimmie yer name, and somethin' about yerself that makes ya totally different than anybody else!

Soma are weapons that can be used not only to defend yourself and others and are slightly more powerful than the average weapon, but also can allow the user to Spirlink with others and go into their Spirunes to help them if their Spirunes are infested with Zerom.
I understand this can kind of be difficult to understand with terms that are only used in my world, so I'll do my best to explain all of the terms.
Spirunes are ... kind of the physical representation of what people would call hearts, or souls. In my world, we call the kind of heart that controls emotions and every bit of our personality the Spiria.
Spirlinking is the act of actually using Soma to go into another person's Spirune, and Zerom are monsters that infest a Spirune. They're nasty things.

Huh! It doesn't sound that complicated... I've had my fair share a' dealin' with hearts and the trouble, and help, they can do. It's pretty impressive, what ya can do with 'em!

Regardless, it's wonderful that you're saving them. It's kind of almost like what Shing and I had to do back home for a little while.
[ she just won't mention that it was her own spirune that was causing a lot of the problems they had to spirlink with people for in the past. ]

Let's see... Ta put it inta pieces... There are these creatures called the Heartless. They were out ta steal hearts - and when yer heart is taken, ya become a Heartless yerself. Powerful people were usin' the power of Heartless and darkness ta try and conquer worlds. But me and my friends helped defeat the Heartless, and freed the worlds. Once ya defeat a heartless, the hearts it captured return back ta their owners.

SPOILERS: Everybody is Sora!]O-Oh, wow ... they remind me a little of Zerom, though, I don't think the aim of the Zerom was to actually take the heart ... only to make it so that the person acted abnormally.
