Interactive Dream (or Video)

[There's a flash of fire that quickly resolves into a person -- a man, dressed in white and red with long brown hair. He stands there for a moment while a 14-year-old Ky runs through sword forms. The man with the brown hair eventually snorts and speaks.]

You done yet, kid?

[Ky nods, raising his sword to the sky to send lightning through his body up in an arc towards the man, who simply stands there, waiting for it--]

[Ky, adult now, again, takes a seat in a minimally adorned office that makes up for a lack of decoration with stacks of paper and two beautiful teacups. He pours tea from a pot into both of them, and then offers one out.]

If you want milk or sugar they're on the tray. I appreciate you coming by. We need to talk about the flower arrangements and what you expect the ostriches to eat. They've vetoed the idea of Stilton.

[Ky's face is as serious as it usually is.]

[OOC: The second part of the dream is interactive, or can do video once he wakes. ]

[Have an incredulous Zelos on your feed suddenly. Sup.]

[Ky blinks awake, staring at his screen. Oh, Zelos. Ky can't say that he's pleased to see him.]

Uh, apparently.

I don't believe that we're entirely responsible for our subconscious.

Guess not. Gotta say I'm surprised though! I thought you'd be dreaming about law and justice and smiting the wicked or some shit.

[There's a little irritation that's creeped into the Chosen's tone. Honestly, he's kind of jealous that Ky is only dreaming nonsense while he dreamed...

Let's not go there.]

[Ky takes the irritation as being aimed at his pursuit of justice, and that's something that Zelos is simply going to have to deal with it.]

It isn't as though my dreams, whether frivolous or focused, are as important as what I do during my waking hours.

Pretty sure nothing we do here is important but if you wanna go wasting you energy, suit yourself.

[He shrugs.]

Dreams aren't important either, though.

There are still people here, and as people what we do can be very important indeed.

It depends on whether we're speaking metaphorically or literally, I suspect.

Did you miss the memo about how when we leave we forget everything? Once someone changes that, then maybe you can convince me what happens here is important.

[Honestly he doesn't want it to be. All these feelings he's having, all the fallout from his dream, from Zelda being in his life at all, from just... Vathoen. He doesn't want it to be real because if it is then he has to deal with all of that and he's not equipped.

Of course he just comes off as a judgmental bastard since he'd never admit to feeling that way.]

Some people say the same thing happens when we die. Even so they tend not to say that that makes what we do in our lives unimportant.

Even if I should not remember things when or if I return to my world, I still want to make a positive difference here, while I'm here.

[Ky's never really learned what time off is anyway.]

I'm not saying some people don't have important lives, I'm just saying that maybe it's a bit impetuous to assume you're one of them.

[Ugh, this conversation is getting annoying. Why is he still having it? He needs to stop messaging people when he's pissed off. Really though, Ky doesn't piss him off so much as confuse him. Someone with that much faith... he can't fathom it. In certain people, yes, maybe he could see that, but in life? In the world? In a god? It's confusing and the confusion is irksome.]

Our lives are made important by what we choose to do with them.

And if I've been responsible for even a single other individual life than my own, than I don't think I'm being impetuous to look at what that means.

[And Ky's been responsible for a lot more than one life.]
