002 [video/dream]

[It's a nice, relaxing day at Sakurami City's Park. It seems to be close to evening though, as most of everyone here is preparing to go home. Reisuke seems to be hanging out in an empty sandbox all by himself...his parents are absolutely nowhere in sight. It seems he's just watching some kids leaving with their parents, before he looks down at the puppets on his hands, as they now seem to speak to him.]

"Don't worry, there's still plenty of time before we need to go home!"

"That's right, we can keep playing for as long as you like, Rei-kun! So, what would you like to do now?"

"Oh, I know, let's finish building a sandcastle together! And Rei-kun will be the prince of the land!"

[Suddenly, the other puppet turns to the other, almost with a slightly annoyed tone to its voice.] "No no no, Rei-kun would be the king! He would be the greatest the kingdom has ever seen, and he would be regarded as the most elite ruler of them all..."

[Reisuke doesn't answer them back as he watches the last person leave, but after a moment he nods as he removes his puppets from his hands once more. It's a bit hard to build while wearing them, and even though the sky seems to be getting close to evening, he's still nowhere near close to making any castles, it's just a big mound of sand...maybe it would be easier if he had help, but that's fine. It's not like he hasn't done this before by himself. Still...]

"An elite king, huh..."

"Why stop there, when you could become God?"

[Suddenly, there's a strange-looking girl standing across from him and his little mound of sand that he's been working on. She takes a seat and begins to add more sand from her side of the dome, helping to shape it as she continues to speak. She begins to tell a strange story, of an entity named "Deus ex Machina", and a game to decide who should take his place as the next god of space and time. It's rather hard to believe, but...]

"And there you go, you have been chosen as one of the twelve potential successors."

"Wow..."

[Until now, Reisuke had never been sure if God was as real as his parents had claimed him to be, but now...well, if God existed, then that had to mean there were other things that existed too, right? He leans over to look through a tunnel that has been built in his mound of sand.]

"So...can you tell me if aliens exist or not?"

"...What?"

"Well...if there's a God, I thought there might be aliens, too! I'd really like to meet one! So...if you can introduce me to one, then I'll join your game."

[She stares at him for a moment before she is suddenly no longer on the other side of the mound. When Reisuke looks up, she's now standing on the top of the slide next to the sandbox as she places a hand over her mouth and begins to make an odd "whirrring" kind of sound, a light appearing and shining down over them from what appears to be a UFO.]

"Reisuke Houjou, you have discovered my secret. I am an alien."

[Reisuke finds himself being lifted into the light and before he knows it, he's no longer on the playground. Now he's standing in a spaceship and as he looks out the window, he can see that they're over-looking the earth itself.]

"So the earth really is round, huh?"

[She grins as she points to the window, to the earth.]

"Once you win the game, you will become God of that world."

"Wow, that's super elite!!"

[She nods in agreement and then starts to open her mouth like she's about to say something else...]

[But then he suddenly finds himself staring at the ceiling of the apartment he lives in. He sits up with a slight frown as he looks around, before giving what sounds like a small sigh of disappointment. Seems like he hasn't noticed just yet that the new dreamberries have recorded that dream of his...]

((ooc: surprisingly no real need for warning labels, though it does get kind of silly towards the end? also my wrists are kind of acting up, but I will try not to be too slow with tags... ;A;))

Huh? [He rubs his eyes a little bit before he looks at the phone...oh, it's the 9th.] How'd you know that?

[He meant "how did you know that was what he was dreaming about", actually...maybe it was the thing with the phones he had heard people talking about lately...]

Yeah...but I still think that she's kinda cool!

[Well, she figured he knew his dream had been broadcasted...but maybe that'd been too presumptuous on her part.]

She's definitely something. [Not that she really knows the half of it, yet.] I don't think I'd call her cool, though.

[He's only just woken up, it might take him a moment longer before he realizes what happened.]

You don't think so? What would you call her, then?

[Clearly a model of responsibility to follow after, even if that was extremely rude. Then again, Reisuke has possibly heard worse things said about other people...]

Kid, there's one thing you should know about me. [If this was a face-to-face conversation, she would kneel down next to him.] I don't like a lot of people.

[ ah, well this definitely explains the dream function he had been wondering about. it literally posted dreams— something you'd have to be asleep for, right? there was his problem. he briefly wonders if daydreams might be a possibility as well, but he'll test that theory later because wow this dream... ]

Can you tell me the name of that girl, Rei-kun?

[ he can put two and two together rather quickly, so he's nearly positive it's the 'muru-muru' girl tsubaki had been talking about. ]

[Huh? ...Oh, it's that one guy from before. Reisuke's sort of mostly figured out by now that somehow some people saw his dream about Muru Muru, so...]

Oh, hello Akisenii-chan! Why do you wanna know about her?

[ one day reisuke is going to give him a straight answer one day... in other words, yeah he expected this. ]

Curiosity. I'm a detective, remember? I've never witnessed an alien before, real or otherwise, so I'm inclined to ask.

[ of course this is a child's dream, so the accuracy of it is likely distorted— he wonders if her appearance is actually as portrayed, considering how odd it seemed. it's also obvious she was tricking reisuke, so for that sort of thing to carry over into a dream brings into question whether or not this event legitimately happened. ]

You haven't? Then you really should--in fact, I've already met a few cool aliens here too!

[Except none of them are Muru Muru so that's extremely irrelevant to answering your questions about her.]

Then I'll certainly look into doing so. [ later. he's giving the feed an amused smile and going along with it, since you can't just shake answers out of a 4-year-old... although he's still planning on getting those answers one way or another. ]

Um...oh, I don't remember if they told me their names... [So much disappointment, he'll have to remember to ask next time he sees them.] At least they were kinda funny and cool to talk to, even if they might not be as elite as Muru Muru...

That's unfortunate. [ he'd ask for descriptions if it were pertinent, but since it isn't he lets the subject gloss over. instead there's a chuckle. ] Is she much more cooler than the other ones you've met?

So far, yeah! After all, she was able to show me her ship and everything... [Even if it was mostly just a dream. Not to mention the fact that she is supposed to be the assistant to Deus too, but...well, he's under the impression that Akise wouldn't know anything about that, so it's probably not worth trying to explain that now.]

[Well, Tsubaki doesn't feel like trying to figure out these new phones at the moment. She's managed to get the video function to work before, but it's easier just to walk over to his room.

She doesn't knock, though, she just...kind of hovers around his door for a moment before speaking.]

...Rei-kun. You are awake?

Tsubakinee-chan? [He gives a slight yawn before he answers] Yeah, I'm awake now...

Your dream was apparently recorded with the new device.

[She is frowning, though now she'll attempt to open the door to see if it's unlocked.]

...Though I'm still unsure as to how. That was...a very interesting take on things.

Really? Wow...

[The door's locked--you never know if certain pink-haired individuals would find out where he lived and try to break in to kill him in his sleep, after all. But Reisuke is already standing up and toddling over to the door to undo the lock for her, so you should be able to open the door now.]

[Hearing the door unlock, Tsubaki lets herself in and looks around a bit. Everything seems to be in order, at least, so as far as she can tell, the recording of dreams is otherwise harmless.

She nods.]

[Reisuke's room is actually kind of boring at the moment, since he doesn't really have much stuff other than the bed and the stuff he showed up with when he first got here. Other than a few crayon drawings and things left here and there, it's pretty plain.]

Yeah, she did! ...Or at least I think she did when I first met her. [It's quite possible that this is just a dream that he had before back then--it feels somewhat familiar to him, anyway.] But even if she's not really an alien, it was still kind of cool...

[Well, she's not entirely sure about it being "cool" --but it certainly is something else. She's not even sure she should believe in aliens; but after everything she's been through, it's not too much of a stretch.

She doesn't mind the plain room, either. In fact, it makes it easier for her to navigate without tripping over anything.]

I always did think there was something...otherworldly about her. She was very strange.

[Tsubaki still remembers how she tried to erase all of Akise's memories...]

Yeah...I wonder what she's doing right now... [He's actually kind of surprised that Muru Muru hasn't shown up yet to do damage control, considering that five out of the twelve diary owners aren't where they should be right now...]
