I don't knoww wwhy evveryone is so fuckin concerned about the coral.
So it's our ovverlord and wwe havve to touch it and givve it our energy or somethin and it givves us energy back.
But if it's changin than maybe it's an opportunity to learn wwhat its purpose is so wwe can defeat our captors and take control ovver our collectivve destinies.

Far be it for me to say, it does seem that the coral has more control that it certainly lets on. Indeed, it restores our energy and in turn seems to require our energy. This, unfortunately, is an untested hypothesis as it stands.

However, I am rather concerned with its state. If it indeed seems to be the source of this city's power, then perhaps the coral in turn is to blame for those who have found their innate abilities lacking.

Hardly losing, no. Rather, collared, shall we say? There are those who appear here weaker than they were from their homeworld. Yet others find themselves succumbing to the city and its curses despite being above such things.

I wouldn't say the change in itself is drastic. Rather, there seem to be subtle changes. Certain things that normally wouldn't happen back in our respective homeworlds. Be this the doing of the coral itself, we can't be certain however your theory does seem to hold weight.

Perhaps it would be in our best interests to ensure the safety of the dome lest we all succumb to drowning, hm? This could certainly be the reason as to why its chosen to limit some of our abilities.
