Good evening.

[ despite his greeting, it doesn't really look like Ciel is having such a good time. seated in the armchair from which he tends to make most of his broadcasts and replies, he'll keep this message short and sweet, so that his exasperation doesn't sour it too much. ]

If any of you happen to have recently met a woman by the name of Lady Angelina Durless--more commonly called 'Madame Red' for the color she most prefers to wear--I would be much obliged if you could relate to me where you saw her last. She is my aunt, and has developed a rather poor habit of gallivanting off without first informing me.

[ yes, he is the one looking after her. she may be his mother's sister, but he is the head of house. she is his responsibility. normally he wouldn't be so concerned; she is more than likely simply out charming attractive young gentleman, as he knows she is more than wont to do. but they have yet to broach a rather important subject since her arrival. having her out of his sight makes him nervous, but sending Sebastian to retrieve her would only clue her in to the fact that he doesn't trust her in the least. ]

Madame--if you happen to see this--we have important business. Please return home at once.

[ and off goes the feed. ]

I'll keep an eye out for her. How long has it been since you've seen her?

You have my thanks, then. It has been somewhere close to a week. I think she has been in and out of the house, but I have not seen her, nor do I have the slightest notion where she has been otherwise.

[ sigh. Aunt An, why must you be so difficult?? ]

[ Whoa now hold on there backtrack a minute. ]

Angelina? I wasn't aware you were related to Doctor Durless, Earl Phantomhive. Rest assured I shall tell her of this when I see her next.

You've met her, have you Doctor? [ he might have guessed. ] She is my mother's younger sister. I would be much obliged if you could keep me informed, as well. I love my aunt dearly, but she is willful and independent to a fault.

I can't say I see the family resemblance, you'll have to pardon me. But I did catch that streak off her from the get-go.

[ And he means this both physically and emotionally. Right now, the doc thinks Ciel must have a lot in common with his father. ]

She must be quite a change of pace for you and Sebastian, having that manor all to yourselves for several months now.

You are pardoned. She and I look little alike. I take nothing from my mother but my eyes. [ or. eye. ] The rest is my father, or so I have been told.

[ and. sigh. that probably answers your question well enough, doctor. ]

Very much so. Even at home, it was only Sebastian and I and a small group of four other servants, living in a manor large enough to put my current residence to shame. So three in such a small space is a far cry from what I am used to. Especially when one of those three is my aunt.

[ Have a sympathetic nod. ]

Sakaki and I are the only residents of my family's ancestral home. I understand the silence. Things can be rather quiet, I must admit. I imagine Angelina can be quite the handful. Your personalities seem to clash, if I may say.

Ancestral home? [ a questioning eyebrow. ] I believe this is the first I've heard of it, doctor. Then this Sakaki is a servant of yours?

[ and a nod. ] Our personalities could not possibly be more different. And while I am a very private person, Madame is the sort who simply must know everyone's business. We are often at odds about that.

It was a manor my grandfather partially converted to serve as a hospital. Sakaki is my butler and has been in the family for years now.

[ He looks a bit nostalgic though. Can't help but wonder what the old man was up to now. ]

Angelina seems to be quite a livewire. If you ever need some time to yourself... might I offer my apartment? I've managed to stock a bookshelf with several things as well as some records...

I see. So your family has a long history of being medical professionals, I take it? [ that's interesting. he actually wants to hear more. ] In your family for years, you say? At home, I have one Mister Tanaka on my staff, who was butler to my father and my grandmother both before he was my house steward.

[ these similarities just keep cropping up, don't they? ]

That sounds most pleasant, doctor. [ he may have to take him up on that offer. ] But pray tell, where exactly do you live?

My father, my grandfather and his father before him were all doctors. I suppose there is much to be said about at least one member of the staff having served several generations. Their experience is invaluable. I can imagine Sebastian was a recent addition?

[ Gotta love those similarities. ]

I have a two room to myself in Vita Apartments. Fourth floor, Second room. I can't seem to keep a roommate, as my luck would have it.

Quite impressive. But now I feel I must ask: did you enter your family's business of your own volition, or were you pressed into it?

[ he nods, though, acknowledging. ]

I hired Sebastian as my personal valet a little over three years ago, soon after the deaths of my parents. He came to me at a rather convenient time.

[ ...understatement of the year. ]

Vita. Floor four, room two. I'll be sure to remember it--and perhaps stop by to give you my company, in the absence of a roommate.

It was simply a path I was lead down. I'd considered other choices but over time, I found myself naturally gravitating toward medicine.

[ And the smallest smirk though. ]

He seems quite capable... perhaps more than anyone, if I may say. And... such intriguing eyes. They seem almost red.

[ Guess where the doctor looks when he first meets someone. ]

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest, Earl Phantomhive. I look forward to it.

Ah. So ultimately, you still made the choice yourself.

[ this line of questioning about Sebastian is not particularly pleasing, though. ]

I only hire the very best. [ is his simple explanation. ] Physicality plays no part.

[ too bad Ciel only has half as much to scrutinize, then. ]

I look forward to it as well, doctor. We will be seeing one another soon enough, I don't doubt. It seems we can never go too long.

Suffice to say it was the means to which I was lead to achieve a dream of mine.

[ He'll leave it at that. No need for Ciel to know about his crazy dreams. Yet. Though the answer concerning Sebastian seems to satisfy him for the moment. ]

Perhaps accute albinism. Such a strange strain however...

[ He'll leave it at that though. ]

[ he'll make note of that, and be sure to inquire further later. ]

I am sure that you would know more than I, doctor.

[ and he would very much like to get away from this topic. ]

[ There's a smile back though. He won't press further. ]

[ neither of them will push the other for an answer--that takes the fun from it. ]

What's an aunt again? And what does she look like? Besides the color red!

A sister of either of your parents is called an aunt. My aunt-- [ how does he even begin to explain Madame Red? ] --is a woman in her thirties, of middling height, likely to be found in stylish clothing, and has hair as vibrant as the things she wears. She is loud and exuberant, and rather difficult to miss.

If she's difficult and hard to miss, how did you lose her? Are you sure she hasn't gone home?

Even she, exuberant as she is, cannot be seen from across the city. It is far simpler to search for her this way. But I am certain that she is still here. Her name is on the list of residents.

Maybe she's asleep somewhere. That happens sometimes.

If that is the case, I can only hope that someone has found her, and might tell me where she is.

If I find her, you will be the first person I tell, okay?

Oh yeah! I'm Feferi, it's nice to meet you.

[Turns off the feed with a sort of playful glare.]

Ciel, it wasn't necessary for you to do that! I was about to go back home. I do have a job here, you know...

It was necessary. [ his voice is firm, and his tone brokers no argument on this point. ] You had not informed me of your work. You must tell me what you are doing, Aunt An. I am not your child nephew any longer, and you are my responsibility.

[ and if she were to hurt others here, that would be his responsibility, too. ]

[She sighs. You will always be her child nephew, Ciel.]

I apologize for not informing you, Lord Phantomhive. I did not realize it was necessary. [Do you intend to keep her caged?]

I am now working as a doctor at the local clinic. Dr. Muraki told me they were understaffed.

[ for a moment, he doubts. for a moment, he feels chastised . this is his aunt, who has raised him as much as--and perhaps more than--either of his parents. should he really be treating her this way?

but he soon remembers why, and knows that he must. she is a murderer--a danger to everyone around her. it i his duty to keep tabs on her, to make certain that she harms no one. ]

It is. [ his reply is clipped and chilly. ] But it is good that you have been working. Doctor Muraki has been the only foreign doctor available for some months. He has been my personal physician, in fact, since my arrival.

[ might as well mention that while he can--he has something more important to discuss with her when she returns home. ]

[She sighs. Apparently she will have to go home now.]

I am an adult, Ciel. I appreciate that you want to take care of me, but... [She sighs.] I will be home soon.

As for Dr. Muraki, I am glad you had someone to take care of your health. Sebastian can only do so much for you. If you feel comfortable with him, then he can continue to be your physician.

[ he would certainly appreciate it if she did. ]

Thank you, Madame. [ he'll refrain from commenting on the former part of her statement. it will only lead to an argument, he's certain. ]

I feel comfortable enough. [ sort of. he doesn't really feel comfortable with anyone. ] I believe I will keep him, as you say.

[She nods in approval.]

Alright then. I'll see you in a moment, Ciel.

[She cuts off the feed and it doesn't take her long to reach home.]

[ she'll find him taking tea in the front parlor, seated on the sofa. there's a cup and saucer set aside for her, as well. ]

Welcome home.

[ he puts aside the book he's been reading when she enters. ]

[She sighs and still looks a bit displeased.]

Thank you, Ciel. I am back.

[ she has a right to be displeased. but Ciel has to speak with her. ]

Won't you sit with me, Aunt?

[ he gestures to the place opposite him that's been set for her. ]

[She sighs and nods, elegantly sitting herself in front of Ciel.]

So? What would you like to speak of, Ciel?

Good evening, Phantomhive-san. I regret to say I haven't met anyone fitting that description. I shall ask Tsuzuki-san if he has.

You have my thanks, Mister Seiichirou. It seems that she has found me, as I hoped that she might. [ sigh. ]

I am glad all is well then.

Angelina-san is missing ?

Not any longer. But she was, as far as I am concerned.
