[The welcoming committee building's door flies open, hitting the wall with a thud, and Asch storms out. He's got a small assortment of pamphlets in one hand, although with the fist he's making, they're crumpled almost beyond recognition. He's stalked about halfway across the plaza before he slows down a little -- it's not like he's actually got anywhere to go, after all.]

[Anyone nearby may hear him muttering to himself.] Dammit... I don't have time for this! [He hurls the remains of the pamphlets into a nearby trash can as he walks by.]

[It takes about ten minutes for Asch to calm down enough to stop pacing, at which point he opts for leaning against the nearest building and glaring alternately at the ground or his hands. He's still fairly soaked, aside from his hair, which he dried earlier. He doesn't seem to care much, though.]

[Roxas recognizes the face. But sharing his own face with three other people means he knows very well that's not the only thing you have to pay attention to. The clothes, the hair, the temper--they're all different.

This must be who Luke meant when he talked about a 'weird connection to someone who's bad news.'

Roxas watches him for a few moments before approaching.]

I don't think you can glare your way home.

[Thankfully, Asch doesn't notice Roxas's staring. He looks up when he walks toward him, giving an irritated huff at the joke. He's really not in the mood.]

Do you want something?

[Roxas shrugs.]

Just- thought maybe you could use a hand.

[It's mostly curiosity, really, about people he might have something in common with.]

[Everyone here is so helpful. When it comes to telling him to stay in the fishbowl like a good boy, anyway.] Can you help me get out of here? [He's hoping more for the kid to apologize and leave him alone than to say yes; after all, he's pretty certain at this point that there is no way out.]

...sorry. [Well, there's your apology, but he doesn't seem to be going anywhere.]

There were some people studying the coral, but I don't know where they went, or- if they even found anything.

[Just his luck. He listens anyway, just in case there's some chance what he's hearing could help.] People? You mean, not natives. [Because from the little he's seen of them, they're not going to be much help.] What do you mean, you don't know where they went?

Scientists. [He honestly doesn't know if they were natives or not, but it's clear he doesn't think much of them.]

I mean, I never met them. I just heard about them. Their- lab's empty.

I see. [So they're definitely not going to be any help, is the point. Asch sighs silently.]

...What's your name? [Asch isn't sure this kid is going to be all that much help overall, but at least he offered information, so... It's the polite thing to do.]

[Their stuff might be, but Roxas and computers is not a winning combination.]

...it's Roxas. You?

[Asch and computers might be a slightly more winning combination, but that would depend on what kind of technology they are.]

...Right. [He settles back against the wall, as much as he really can settle in his current mood anyway. Unless Roxas wanted something else...?]

[Just grumpy.]

... [Okay he is officially nonplussed.] What? [Why do people keep saying that?]

I kind of heard that you were. I guess you guys just don't get along.

... [He what?] 'Heard'? From who? [His tone is suspicious.]

Um... From Luke.

[So Luke's here. Trust his luck to land him in a magical fishbowl with the replica. Asch considers asking what Luke said about him, but decides it doesn't matter.]

[He turns away, leaning back against the wall.] Is anyone else from Auldrant here?

I don't know.

[Asch nods. Then:] ...Thanks. [That doesn't really feel necessary, but hey, Roxas has been helpful and hasn't been annoying about it.]

[Aw, Asch, what manners. Roxas nods and, well, maybe he'll leave you be to sort things out.]
