[Ioder looks a bit groggy as he turns his SFC on. Hair a mess, clothes slightly rumpled, he lets out a rather loud yawn before starting]

I apologize... for my absence. I've fallen victim to another sleep coma...

[He's going to not mention that he was also absent from work for a good two weeks before his coma. If anyone brings it up, sure, but for now he's going to... try to act like nothing happened.]

I should be able to return to the host club in time for the ball.

[He manages a tiny smile.]

I wouldn't want to miss that, after all.

Ah... that said, have I missed anything important?

[Zelos had heard the exchange between his employee and that creepy little alien. He's usually charitable to women of any sort but Ioder he knows, Ioder he trusts, and if he said she stabbed him then he believes it.

Still, first things first.]

Hey kiddo, welcome back to the waking world. Starting to wonder if these comas are genetic!

[Ioder actually manages to laugh at that, even if he does shake his head a little. Oh Zelos.]

Thank you. I doubt that, but Estellise and I do seem to fall victim to them a lot.

It's true! Maybe it just effects royalty more~

[He keeps his voice light but he's trying to gauge Ioder's emotional state. He's gotten quite goo at reading people, even over the network, though that had taken some getting used to.]

[Unfortunately Ioder isn't particularly good at hiding his emotions. He can fake it pretty well, but those who know him and know to look and watch closely enough can tell when he's not doing so well.

Now is one of those times.

He continues to smile, but it's not quite reaching his eyes, and he fidgets a bit where he's sitting, tugging at a blanket that's currently on his lap.]

That's a silly idea, even for you. I'm sure it's just a very odd coincidence.

Aww c'mon half pint, take a joke!

[He grins when he says it though, not offended at all.]

So when're you coming back to work? Your regulars miss you~

[That and he's worried the whole thing has you hiding forever.]

[It kind of does have him hiding forever. But the mention of his regulars does get a bit of a blush.]

I should be able to return in time for the masquerade, if that's alright.

Sure thing! Do you need the club to provide an outfit or do you want to handle that yourself?

[He entertains the idea getting a dress for Ioder as he plans to for Duke but he'll cut the kid some slack. Let him get something that he'll feel dapper in. Plus, the party might do him some good. With everyone there he'll have plenty of security and he'll be social for the first time since the attack.]

Ah... I could... probably use something from the club. I have things here but... well, it's what I normally wear. I don't think that was quite what you had in mind.

[Yeah, no dress please. Let him have what little dignity he has left.]

No worries, I'll ask Kanaya-hunny about whipping something up for ya.

[In a men's cut, no less!]

You let me know if you need anything else, alright? Oh, and I thought you should know, we're gonna tighten the security at the club. Ky's lending me someone from the Defense Force so I can promise you'll be safe.

[Well.. he can't actually promise but he's going to anyway. Hell, he'll keep and eye on the kid himself if he has to. No one's getting stabbed again on his watch.]

[The comment about security gets a bit of a confused blink, but somewhere in Ioder's expression there's a fraction of relief that can be seen.]

Oh... well, that's good...

Yeah! So you got nothing to worry about, kid. I'll see you for the ball, okay? Or maybe before that if you wanna try on the outfit first.

[He smiles and it's a different kind of smile, more genuine.]
