video/action; arcade trip
[The feed will click on to show the face of a ten year old. He was sitting on a bench with a book on his lap and a smoothie beside him. The background was filled of bright lights and the sounds of game sound effects.]
This is the first time my uncle and I have been here. Are there any games you would recommend?
[Turning the star fish communicator slowly to show the arcade.]
It’s very exciting! I want to try the crane game. The stuffed animals seem cute.
[He paused for a moment as the feed turned back to him.]
You can join us if you want. Thank you.

action because yessssssss
LOOK AT ALL OF THESE LIGHTS.]
Exciting doesn't cover the half of it--! Selim, look at it! Amestris--It doesn't have anything like this, and this has been here the whole time right under our noses! It's fascinating! Just imagine what life would be like in our world with this technology!
[......Yeah, he may have found a new hangout spot.]
lmao
After putting away his SFC, Selim will slurp his smoothie.]
We could see about getting one of these for our place. [He doesn't want to be dragged here every day if you this excited by it. Selim does kind of want to see what it looks like inside of one. Bet there was a book about it though.
Sliding off the bench to peer at a zombie mermaid first person shooter. ]
Do you think it's anything like handling a real gun?
;3;
You'd never get me out of the apartment at that rate.
[While he heads over to inspect another machine, Kimblee glances over at the one Selim is near.]
Have you fired a real one before?
<3 cutie
[If only they weren't public. Not like anyone was actually listening though, but this next bit probably wasn't normal for a ten year old.]
I've held one before. [Pulling out one of the plastic guns from it's holster. It was light, plastic, and it looked very different from anything he might have seen. The cord sticking out of it also was strange.]
Never needed to fire one before. [:D]
liessss
[He regards the guns with mild curiosity.] Of course, though with how this city works you may be left without that. [The shadows, of course.]
I won't be around to rescue you all the time, you know. Should anything happen to me during a curse that involves the absence of my abilities--[Your abilities] You're ten years old.
[At least in public he could play the role of a concerned 'uncle' fairly well.]
...I'd hate to see anything happen to you.
[It'd be inconvenient, but it wouldn't really phase him that much.]
no subject
[He might.]
There appears to a two player option. [He was reading the bit of text that was found under the screen.]
Are you going to teach me how to shoot, uncle? [Figuring out alternatives would be in their best interest. He doubts he will ever fall for the same trick again, but something similar could happen. And it would be pretty shameful for him if it did.]
I'll be careful not to cause you trouble. [Giving his best smile.]
no subject
[Just watch him get hooked on Calamari Damacy. Pride what have you done.]
If I can find a gun or the materials for one, I'll certainly see what I can do. Until then, let's see how your aim is with these machines, hm?
[You know what else is missing? Hair ruffles. He'll just deliver one to Pride with a fond smile.]
Good boy.
no subject
[He will find it hilarious if something like rolling objects would keep Kimblee occupied for hours. Might have to tease.
Beaming a smile at the hair ruffles. Don't over do it :|.]
I'll start the game then, uncle. [Looks like you have to pull the trigger while aiming off screen to reload the gun.
Wat.
They probably couldn't think to have a button at the side or butt of the gun for refilling. Welp. Time to see if he could aim while handling it. Pressing the button to start the game.] Are you going to be playing too?
no subject
I'll let you take the first round, alright?
[That way he can learn by seeing.]
brb just... running wild with the game here
I'M COLOR BLIND KID. He is going to need to stock up on popcorn, isn't he?]Alright! [So you can kick butt from knowing what will happen, huh? That's cheating.
Not that Selim actually minded or anything. Pressing the one player button and hitting start.
The graphics were something, but it wasn't anything compared to actual television. It looked like it was starting at a place very similar to vatheon's plaza. Hello decaying mermaids. Just going to shoot them now, kay?
Is he allowed to shoot the normal people? Because they were going to get shot at as well. Everything that moved was going to be shot. The moment he noticed it removed points from the score was when he started to aim only at the undead aquatic things. Things were busting out of shops windows and apparently you had to rescue some very dumb npcs.
Wow. If someone was running towards ravenous undead critters, he would have eaten them.
Er. He would have let the zombies eat them. Yup.
He'll get through that level, and the park. His score wasn't great with his civilian killing spree at the beginning.
It wasn't until the park that he was gobbled up by the creatures. Whoops.]
/squishes
Except Pride what are you doing those are civvys you are not Envy. Stahp--Okay that one was just plain uncalled for, evident by how Kimblee moves to speak up, up until Pride starts to move on.
...Pride what.
Pride.
Pride why are you missing--Oh. Dear. God.
If Kimblee knew what kind of face he was making, he'd actually be embarrassed. Watching those critters start to chow down on the protagonist sure did bring back some lovely memories.]
...Well. That was...
[Interesting. Horrifying.]
/huff
He will give a look to Kimblee when he was being nommed.
Oh. Yeah. That was familiar for his dear Uncle. He'll offer the gun with a smile.]
Let's see how far you can go.
