[The feed clicks on and Fai appears to be sitting at a table. The device is on the table and a little cake with a single candle is in front of him. The vampire seems a little more somber then normal.]

It has officially been one year since I came to the bubble. I thought I should perhaps throw myself a little anniversary party. But then I wasn't sure if people really celebrate the fact that they have been here any significant amount of time.

A year is actually the longest I've stayed in one place in quite some time. [It also makes him feel a little lonely, knowing it has been that long since he's seen his traveling companions.]

So do people usually celebrate this? Or do they prefer not to because they'd rather forget that it's been that long?

[Fai leans over a little then and blows out the candle.]

[He was on his way home anyway, but he decided to go ahead and answer.]

I celebrated. But then, I enjoy being here.

[His smile is small and not quite all there. He knew Fai had people he missed, but the selfish part of Johnny was glad there was a one year anniversary to celebrate.]

Is it really such a bad thing to be happy about?

I enjoy being here as well..but there are times I wonder if I shouldn't be continuing on. There are important things that need to get done.

[Fai sticks his finger in the frosting.]

But then there would be people here I would miss as well. [He stuck the now covered finger in his mouth. He has his brother in this world..that is something he wouldn't have anywhere else. And he has a kind of family with Johnny.]

I understand.

[He did, really. There were things going on back home that really could use his attention...but he didn't want to face them. As difficult as things were here with Barry, everything else was better. Including Johnny himself.

He's silent a moment as he's walking.]

If you could leave and take care of those things...would you come back, if you could?

That's a difficult question. I have no world to return to, so should my journey finish then I'd have to go somewhere. If my brother was still here..then I would do whatever I could to get back to him. But even though I've managed to stay alive this long without him, my life is still bound to my prey..and I would have to go where he goes.

[Perhaps not the answer he wanted to hear, but how many times had he already heard something similar from his other friends?]

I understand.

...Ah, hopefully there won't be a two year anniversary then, right~?

[For Fai's sake, at least.]

Then you could get back to your journey.

Yeah..[Though Fai doesn't seem to sure. He does like it here after all. After a moment he shakes his head.]

No..I wouldn't mind a two year. I like the home we have made here. As long as time doesn't pass where I came from, then it's okay to enjoy this..right?

[Fai knows that perhaps it is selfish but he has been denied any sort of happiness for a long time.]

Even if we don't remember when we leave..I still think I'd know somehow..I'd miss you as well Johnny.

If it's not okay, then I'm just as in the wrong as you.

[There were important things going on back home for him, things he knew he needed to see through to the end...but he didn't want to leave. He'd already left twice and that was enough to tell him he wouldn't remember whether he wanted to or not.]

I would miss you too.

Either way...

[His smile is ever so slightly forced, but his words are genuine.]

....we'll just have to make the best of the time we have while we have it!

That is true..especially since we have no idea when we will actually get sent home.

[Fai reaches out and holds up the little cake with a smile.]

So would you like to celebrate my anniversary with me? I have plenty of cake.

[His smile widened and he nodded.]

I would love to. I'll be home in the next five minutes~

Excellent~ I'll grab you a plate so it's all ready when you get here.

I think it's something to celebrate. But- I guess it depends on the person.

I suppose its good to celebrate it if you are happy here, and not so good to celebrate if you would rather be home.

I'm not exactly sure which category I fall into though..

Well, it must be hard for the people who wanna go back home, but make friends here, too.

Everyone has things that were left undone at home and that makes it hard to sit still some times. But I've met a lot of nice people here that would be sad to leave.

Not everyone.

But- it'd be nice if there was some way for people to visit.

Ah! That would be excellent wouldn't it? Maybe someday someone will come up with a way.

Yeah, maybe.

For now we enjoy what we can. At least that is what people typically say.

Fai? I did not know it was your anniversary. [Wallace smiled at his friend over the screen.]

So it would seem> I still find it a little hard to believe I've been here that long. Time has flown by~

Indeed it has. How long have you been here? Is it your year anniversary?

It is. I found myself in the fountain exactly one year ago. At the time I really did think this would be a temporary thing.

The fountain? A curious place to be found. [Wallace knew now that is was far from temporary.]

Well this place likes to make sure you have a grand entrance sometimes. I didn't mind it though, the water felt good.

Indeed it does. The water did feel good on your skin, I agree with that. Being a water trainer; it felt natural to me.

I still don't know much about all of that. Does that mean you only train the water type..animals?

Mainly water types, yes. I do have some which are ice type also and other types such as grass. [He nodded.]

I think I would be an ice type trainer. I'd like to see what your animal could do someday.

[He nodded.] A good choice, Fai.

She is my Pokémon, not animal. Milotic is quite particular about being the Pokémon she is.

Ahh pokemon. Right, right! That was the word I was looking for. She seemed quite nice when I met her.

[Wallace smiled politely.]

She is nice and very friendly towards strangers. She likes you, Fai.

I like her too. I'm glad she is accepting of me.

She is very accepting of anyone, being the friendly Pokémon she is.

I think it's worth celebrating!

Oh good~ I guess as long as I'm happy while I'm here then I might as well celebrate all the good times, right?

Yes! That's what I think, at least. If you're happy here then you should definitely celebrate. And let others celebrate with you! That way everyone will be really happy.

That's a good idea! I do have this tasty cake I made. It's always more fun to celebrate with others.

Of course! Baking is a lot of fun~ I enjoy making sweet things but I can cook all kinds of food.
