[Some days this world is kind and fun and Fai feels like he never wants to leave. Other days..it's like this. Days that make the vampire want to run away from his own thoughts and feelings. Days like these are reminders that he isn't meant to feel comfortable or content or happy. He is a twin of misfortune. He has caused pain to many so it is only fair that he feels the same kind of pain. It takes a lot of effort to bring the video up to address the bubble.]

It seems I have inherited a tavern. I don't know if it is permanent or temporary..but I intend to keep a good eye on it. I've worked in it awhile and it isn't the first time I have run a business before but I don't think I really am good at it. But I am going to do my best to make sure this place does well.

[It is fairly obvious that he is currently standing in that tavern. He has found he doesn't have the energy to go back to the house. A house that is going to feel so large and empty. He slowly lowers himself onto a stool and looks around. He wishes he could have at least said goodbye to his fellow sparklepire. This is the second time he has witnessed him leave and he can only hope that perhaps it is just temporary, like last time.]

I'm afraid I don't know much about alcohol though..so if anyone would be willing to help me as far as bar tending, I would appreciate it.

[ This guy feels for you, Fai, he really does. There's a small smile he offers though but the smile is apologetic if anything. Sad, but there. There's just something about the entire manner that isn't much like how he remembers Fai. He's a smiley guy... but somehow, all the smiley has been drained out of him. ]

Cor, if I wasn't hard at work at the bar I inherited too I'd prolly be willing to give you a hand.

But if you ever need a bit of assistance on a busier night, I could swing by.. teach you what I know, eh?

[There is a small smile at that. Fai is good at smiling through pain. He has spent many years learning how to cover up everything he feels on the inside with that smile. But this one is forced. He is so broken he can't even pretend he is fine.]

I would appreciate it. I don't know a lot about mixed drinks and things like that so I'm worried I will bring the place down.

[ There's a small pause for thought. He knows that look. It's something he's faked before. Countless times at that so he knows the feeling. He also knows that when you feel that way, it isn't a good idea to be alone. ]

...D'you know where Bar HOMRA is, mate?

[Fai tilts his head slightly as he thinks.]

I've heard of it but I can't say I have ever been there.

Hold up!

[ The video shakes a bit as he picks his SFC up off the bartop before vaulting himself over and showing what's outside the bar. ]

We're near the fountain and this...

[ He turns around, skipping backward to show Fai the bar's facade ]

Alright. I will be there in a little bit. Thank you. [There is a slightly more sincere smile from the vampire. He knows he shouldn't be alone right now even though his first impulse is to hide away.]

It shouldn't take me too long. I just need to close up.

[ It's an offer. He can always excuse himself from the rest of the clan if need be. ]

I would like to see some place new. [Plus this place is full of memories..difficult ones.]

I don't mind coming there.

[There is a nod and a little wave at the screen.]

[With that Fai hangs up and lowers the phone. He looks off for a moment, thinking about the fact he is going to a possibly crowded place. He has always fled to quiet corners when he was upset. Perhaps this is progress.

Cleaning up a little and making sure everything is secure and locked up, Fai heads down the street towards where the other bar was. He pauses once and looks back at the tavern, thinking about the first time he had walked through those doors.

Turning away he walks quietly, an expression very few have ever seen on his face. The weight of a hundred years of loss showing on it. He pushes that expression away as he opens the door to the bar and heads inside.]

[ He waits patiently, behind the bar as promised. Maybe Fai had the impression Bar HOMRA would be crowded but once he arrives, maybe it's more of a surprise for him to find out that the bar is actually a homely thing. The king isn't home today or if he is, he's probably upstairs napping.

Either way, apart from a few locals, it's just them today.

Ronald seems to be preoccupied with wiping the bartop down until Fai steps through the doors. The bell above signals his arrival which draws the reaper's attention. Of course, there's the smile and the friendly wave. ]

Fai! Glad you could make it. Pull up a stool.

[Fai heads in and goes to a barstool near him.] Thanks for inviting me. It's quieter then I expected.

[During the peak hours the tavern could get quite crowded. It never bothers Fai because he enjoys interacting with all the people..but today he is rather thankful for the quiet.]

No worries, mate!

[ He's already shaking up a little something, and sliding it over the minute Fai gets a seat. ]

It's usually quiet nowadays. The king likes it that way. He's out right now though and Anna and Tatara are in one of those comas so... it's just me at the moment.

I see. [He takes the drink.] Thank you~

[He takes a sip and then smiles.] It's very good. You'll have to teach me how to make it.

Be more'n happy to, mate. It's simple enough once you know what you're doing.

[ He's pleased to know his work is appreciated. ]

Tell you what. Come 'round off hours and I'll teach you everything Mister Kusanagi taught me about making a good cocktail. What d'you say?

Really? That would be great! Johnny showed me a little but I was more of a waiter then a bartender so I never worried too much about it. I need to be a fast learner now..

[He just hopes he doesn't kill the tavern because of his inadequacies. Running a cafe is much easier. He knows sweets and can cook really well. But drinks..that's rather foreign territory.]

M'sure you'll pick it up quick enough!

[ There's a grin from that. ]

How d'you fancy your drinks though?

You mean what kind do I like? [Fai tilts his head as he thinks about it.] I like the fruity ones. Those are tasty~
