<< and all your dreams will come true >>
[After a trip to the world above, despite the strange shift of scenery from the 'ghost town' he'd heard so much about, an old Lombax sleeps. But there would be no rest in those dreams, of course. And all of Vatheon is about to see why.]
[It had been twenty years ago, and only a few months after he'd been promoted to Magistrate of the Lombax Praetorian Guard.
So maybe he was still a little naive - heck, he'd only been 37 at the time. But it's one mistake that now left his entire homeworld engulfed in flames, overrun by monstrous beings and a single, leading power over it all - Tachyon.
Theold young Lombax lays in a puddle of his own blood, gasping and gargling from the entire left half of his body being ripped apart from a powerful blast from a passing Drophyd's assault rifle, staring at the already-deceased body of his companion, just mere feet away. A hand shakily reaches for his friend, desperate for some form of life within the still, bloodied form.
But there wasn't.
Kaden wouldn't smile anymore. He wouldn't laugh, or tease him, or even berate him for letting this happen. All he could do was stare forward at nothing, the life in those bright green eyes lost, the smile slacked with muscles that could not move anymore. He wanted to call out. He wanted to scream. He wanted to do something other than this horrible feeling of helplessness and betrayal, knowing that without him, none of this would have happened.
And now, just beyond Kaden's battered body, he could see Tachyon starting to rip apart their final hope for the galaxy - the ship his son would be sent off to, out of the galaxy and far from the Cragmite's clutches. Only this time... they hadn't been successful. The shuttle had been blown apart, dismantled, then hurled off a nearby cliff into the crevice below.
There was a sharp, stabbing pressure from something behind him, and he could see the foot of the mech from a soldier, blaster at the ready and about to deal the final blow to the last surviving Lombax.
But all he could register was that Cragmite laughing.]
[Alister now lies awake in his bed, staring dead-eyed at the... SFC? Dreamberry? It didn't matter.
He just wants to be left alone.]
