[It starts off slow, quiet, and still, a grey and eerie fog settled over a dark background filled with absolute nothingness, before suddenly--]

I'll kill you...I'LL KILL YOU ALL!!!


[The voice is raw and loud as it rips through the open and steel-cold air and somewhere in thedistance you may encounter a sudden burst of heat. It intensifies, white hot and blistering, until finally reds and yellows explode into vision and reveal hellish destruction--Flames several feet high engulf some nondescript world filled with broken pieces of castles and skyscrapers, ashes rain down from dark clouds above, and amidst the bitter scent of smoke and blood is Axel, standing with his gloved hands gripping tightly onto both sides of his head.

There's little sound, nothing but crackling and the swish of fire, but if you look closer or if you approach him suddenly he'll exclaim again with that same raw voice.]

GET BACK!!!

[Perhaps you'll persist or maybe you'll only stare from the outside in, but either way he'll scream at you and his flames will burn brighter, until finally Axel darts his head up to reveal once bright green eyes now glazed over with nothing but lifeless amber. Voices invade his mind, the sound of people screaming, people laughing, crying--

...No one would miss me.

And from there all he can do is destroy just as everything else has done to him.]

[Distress and anger written all over his face, Axel can't escape from his dream on his own. So, please, wake him if you wish.]

((OOC: Please state in your subject line if you want to interact with him in this dream! If that's the case, you'll most likely be hit with a barrage of dangerous attacks until Axel wakes up, because this dream is his subconscious mind revealing most if not all of his pent-up anger with friends and his past, and therefore he'll be violent and "berserk," as it were. Amber eyes represent something pretty hard to explain in KH-verse, but I thought they'd look kind of cool on him. |D If you choose to just watch, feel free to wake him up or, if you wish, barge into his room to shake him awake before he hurts himself one way or another~ Thank you!))

[Roxas meant to turn off the damn Dreamberry and go wake Axel, but he's so startled by the fury of this dream that he must have hit something wrong because suddenly--

Suddenly he's there in the dream, with Axel, standing a little distance away across the scorched ground. He looks around, startled, inadvertantly stepping closer and prompting Axel's shout. He stops where he is.]

A-axel?

Interactive, because is also horrible. Is this okay?

[Oh. Shit. Fire. Fire everywhere; it's all he can do to keep from panicking, given the nature of his recent nightmare.

But dodging the flurry of fire-based attacks along with trying not to freak over the inferno? Not fun.

Dodge one, dodge another--this guy is good. But as slow as Terra is, he can't dodge forever; the next strike is something he won't be able to get out of the way in time; instead, he calls Ends of the Earth to his hand and brings it up in time to block. The force of the flames is absorbed by the small barrier that his Block usually brings up, with the heat making him cringe and his eyes almost close to avoid being dried out. With the block done, maybe he can attempt to make the guy pause?] Hold on a sec-- whoah!

[Getting out of the way of another fireball; that was too close.

'Stay away from those flames--he can't keep this up forever!' Which means he had to end it, and end it fast.

'I don't know if I can even get through to him.' Maybe someone that knew this man could, but Terra didn't have the slightest idea as to the identity of this man.

Which means he'd have to use force to snap the dreamer out of it. Quench the flames.

'Better time this right... I'll only have one shot at it.' Now, to just wait for the right time to use a certain shotlock...]

[interacive] Because this is a horrible conga line apparently

[Xion's surprised to open her eyes and be greeted by fire. Hot air is whipping at her face and the smell of smoke is suffocating. She's at a loss for why everything is burning when she spots him through a wall of fire. She's cut off from him, and all she can do is shout.]

Axel!

[Axel's very uncertain as he's swept away by this dream. It's not very often that he encounters one that's so...different, and though he doesn't have the ability to be scared, he still feels it, those familiar tremors running up and down his spine even though he's still unconscious.

It isn't until he hears a familiar voice calling out to him over and over that he opens his eyes and with a bit of a start he sits up, eyes darting around the room for his SFC.]

[Axel's completely unaware of just how real the dream is even when Roxas appears before him, but, then again, he isn't aware of much at all. All his body knows is raw and powerful negativity that he's just not accustomed to dealing with. If not handled correctly, maybe he'd think it's even detrimental. But Axel's still here, completely unawares, and glaring daggers at the other Nobody.]

I said...get back. [he warns, his voice thick and fingers clenched into fists.]

[Axel can't even think of anything else but attacking, because as far as he's concerned, everything that he'll come into contact with him poses a great threat. All he can see is total chaos and destruction and that's just what it has to be; that's just what his dream wants him to have.

So when Terra persists and pushes through, blocking his fire balls and his counters, Axel becomes increasingly irritated and summons Eternal Flames to his hands. He doesn't hesitate from there to light them ablaze, the edges of the flames tinted bright blue, and then hurl them straight on towards the intruder.]

[Axel's eyes go for her immediately, recognizing her as the only living thing left in this desolate wasteland--a combination of various Worlds--and with a snarl his fire rises up higher and hotter, threatening her.]

Stay back.

[ And with the end of the dream's broadcast comes a surge of relief for Ven. At least his old buddy isn't stuck in that place of fire and anger anymore. He looks gravely out through the screen. ]

Over here.

[ What happened to him? Is the biggest question on Ven's mind. Last he'd seen this guy, he'd been a joker of a teenager who'd seemed pretty laid back. Something's had to have changed in a big way to get him this angry. And he's not sure if he wants to know just what, so he doesn't ask. ]

[The spinning chakram are coming at him so fast that the Keybearer almost doesn't notice them in time. As it was, he had to block them again, the clang of metal against metal left to ring in his ears.

'Damn--this isn't going to be easy!' Half a second, and Terra's in full battle mode, jumping back a few feet and gathering his wits. Another half a second, and Ends of the Earth spins towards Axel while covered in blue ice crystals that very stubbornly don't want to melt.

The Freeze Raid is followed up by a Blizzaga; using flames or thunder in this fight is pointless. Ice is the way to go.

Still waiting for that opening for a shotlock...]

[Xion doubts she's the first, or even second, person who should be trying to pull him out of this, but she's the only one here. She reflexively takes a step back when the flames burn brighter, raising an arm to her face to shield it from the heat. Something is very wrong with him now, and she looks around for anywhere she can get past the fire to reach him. Seeing none, she casts a few ice spells in the hopes she can get an opening wide enough.]

Please, just let me help you...

[Roxas doesn't move any closer, but he doesn't step back either. The fire all around them, it's familiar and he doesn't want it to be. He doubts Axel will listen to him in this state, but he has to try anyway.]

Axel... You don't need to do this. Let's just go.

[Go where, he doesn't know. There's fire everywhere... but there has to be a way out.]

[Axel runs a hand through his hair before he hears Ven's voice and with a soft sigh he gathers himself together as if nothing might have happened at all. Over on the side table his SFC shows the kid broadcasted on the screen and though Axel picks it up in as calm a manner as he can, inside he's still pretty shaken up.]

Hey. [he mutters, lowering his hand from his head. Sooner or later Ven's going to figure out that he's not Lea and that he's far from what Lea ever was, but he hopes that at least for tonight he won't.]

What's up?

[ A lot's up. And if lea's dream has shaken him up this badly, he can't imagine how Lea himself must feel.

Hopefully not tonight. It can wait for another time, as can all of his questions. Instead, he'll smile a little and offer some support. ]

Not much. I was about to go over there and tickle you awake.

Would you mind some company?

[Axel growls when his chakrams fail to defeat the stranger right then and there and after he leaps up to disappear into a Portal he reappears in front of Terra to catch his weapons and to dodge at least the brunt of that ice attack. He can still feel coldness against his skin and for a moment it's almost enough to wake him up, but he persists, yellow eyes burning and full of rage.

A Keyblade--Like Roxas', like Sora's.

Axel grips his chakrams and lunges forward, slashing at quickening arches and thrusts to try and either make Terra lose his balance or at least lose energy dodging.]

[flared]

[The ice connects with the fire and kills off some of the flames, making a path at least wide enough for Xion to get through. Axel, however, reacts instantly and backs up, growling as red hot sparks emit from his fingertips. He doesn't need help, he doesn't want your help--!]

No!

[flared]

[The fact that all of this is very familiar gives Axel all the more reason to be violent. He thinks that in a few more seconds Roxas will walk away and leave him to the Darkness again so that he can return to Sora and disappear forever.

His head aches at that thought and he brings a hand up to tug at his hair as if that will make the sudden pang go away.]

Ngh...Go away! [With that the flames burn brighter and tint blue at the edges. He just has to wake up somehow--]

[He smirks briefly at that first comment but it's gone as quickly as it came.]

Heh. Yeah...

[Then, after observing the boy through the communicator,]

You don't look so great, though, man. [Maybe coming over would be a bad idea.]

[ He's wondering if it'd have worked. His smile fades, too. ]

I think I've slept more than enough. I'll be okay.

[ Maybe, maybe not. The offer's there, though. ]

'Sides, you look as bad as I probably do.

[Well, he is ticklish, but in this case Axel probably would have karate chopped you in the face when he woke up, Ven.]

Gee, thanks. [Axel pinches the bridge of his nose before he adds,] But, sure. If you wanna meet up or something, doesn't matter.

[He has nothing to talk about, though, or so he'd like to tell himself.]

[ Ouuuuch! That wouldn't have been pleasant. He smirks a little. ]

I can say the same thing. [ He nods. ]

Yeah. It's been a long time. Hanging out would be nice right now.

[ So... ] Where are ya?

[Roxas swallows uneasily at the increase in heat but clenches his fists determinedly and stands his ground. If only he knew how to wake someone up from inside a dream. It's not like he can pinch Axel from here.]

N-no. I'm not going anywhere. You've gotta calm down, then we'll both go.

[Pause]

I'll go wait outside.

[Axel throws his hands out to the side, making the flames roar louder.]

That's it!

[And with a simple wave his chakrams appear hurl towards Roxas, lit on fire and quick.]

[He was hoping that wouldn't happen, but it's not exactly unexpected. Roxas dives out of the way, rolling and coming up in a crouch. He summons one of his keyblades, for defense.]
