Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated

[Well look who it is back on the network, Vatheon! None other than Zelos Wilder, looking very much alive but perhaps slightly off. Not upset, not angry, just a little... off.]

Ah, hey there. Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm fine and all and, uh... to anyone who actually saw that broadcast, well. It was just a big misunderstanding, alright? No need to look more into it, just me sticking my foot in my mouth.

So what'd I miss?

He just looks tired, when he flicks the video on to respond. At least he doesn't particularly look like he hasn't been eating, thanks to Zelda and persistent squirrels. ]

[Zelos' transformation had startling similarities to people whose demons had gone out of control. He can't help but wonder... Serph cuts to the chase.]

Does your crystal keep that creature you transformed into quiet?

[He shrugs, not making eye contact with the screen.]

And I was there to apologize in the first place for threatening you. Pretty, uh... pretty hypocritical I guess.

Uh, no, the crystal actually causes the transformation if it gets busted. Nothing like your demon.

[It's a little surreal to think of it that way though. Was the monster transformation some comment on the inner demons of humanity?

[As soon as Zelos finishes speaking, a certain blond pokes his head into the room. While his face seems as stoic as usual, there's something about it that suggests that he's less than pleased with the Chosen.]

Zelos. I must have words with you.

[He did, but... there's no reason he has to tell Bianca that, sweet girl that she is.]

I'm alright hunny, no worries okay?

[The Chosen turns in his chair, propping his elbow on the top of the backrest to look over at Dhaos. His tone is flat and even, like he'd been expecting this, whatever "this" is.]

Oh, so we're having words, are we? Go ahead.

[He steps fully into the room, coming to a stop in front of Zelos. He is silent and motionless for a moment. Then he slowly raises his hand... and lightly flicks the redhead in the forehead. This likely seems rather out-of-character to Zelos. Who would expect a lineface like Dhaos to do something that's almost...childish.]

...You worried both Zelda and Lloyd. Don't do it again.

[Normally Zelos would make some acerbic comment, some chiding remake to make Dhaos cringe or sulk away and leave him alone, but... the Seraph has a point. All he seems to do is worry people and make their lives miserable.]

Sure thing.

[Without retaliation, Zelos turns back to the desk on which he has perched his SFC, still dealing with the fallout of his stupid mistake. Seems like he's always doing that.]

Are you actually okay?

What happened?

[He leans back in his chair, that jovial smile he's put on for everyone else not present for Ky; he doesn't really care how he presents himself to Ky considering he doesn't much care what he thinks.]

My crystal isn't gonna go out of control again, if that's what you're worried about. I'm not gonna be a monster, I'm not gonna hurt anyone like that.

[Dhaos' eyes narrow ever so slightly. You can't fool Dhaos with that nonchalant mask Zelos, he's used to reading the emotions of people like Kratos.]

I mean it Zelos. Don't do something to foolishly endanger yourself again. I will not hesitate to take measures against you if you do otherwise.

[That just earns Dhaos a sigh from Zelos.]

I know, alright? You've known them for like five minutes how the hell do you think I feel?!

[Er.. he hadn't meant to say that. Try again.]

You got your point across, no need to hammer it in.

[It's only after Lloyd calms and leaves Zelos be that the princess finally heads to talk to him, watching him in his chair quietly. What is there to say?

I was worried about you.

I'm sorry. I didn't want to fight.

Have been told that, should I feel the need to come to blows to keep you away from me, a punch would suffice. [ By Lloyd. He's not quite sure what to think about that. He has metal on the back of his gloves. ]

......... [ Aaawwwkward. That registers, that Duke had come to confront and Zelos to apologize. ]

.... should.. realize, that.... all can change. Even.... [ Even backstabbers. Which is pretty much what he's been thinking of Zelos as, even if he did.. possibly save him from having to fight a ... monster thing.

There's his apology for getting pissed enough to draw a sword on you. He.. still really doesn't like what you did, but... ]

[He'd known he'd have to talk to Zelda alone sooner or later, but he's not sure what she wants from him. Honestly he's not even sure what he should be feeling, or how he is feeling even if he shouldn't be. Or should be. Or.. whatever. His conversation with Lloyd had been exhausting...

So he just reverts. The old standby, the smiling idiot. It's easier, it doesn't hurt as much as long as he has that facade between himself and the rest of the world.]

But he does have a point and Zelos is too tired to fight about it. Honestly he's just plain too tired, though he knows there are others that still want his attention. But it's fine. They can have it. He'll appease each and every one of them. He doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, of course. He doesn't want anyone else crying because of him.

Again he turns back to his SFC, wordlessly telling Dhaos they're done here.]

All right...but just get better soon okay?

Oh right! I almost forgot, I made a card for you! [She switches over to video and shows him the picture she made for him] I hope that you like it!

[She nearly thwacks him for making that damn face again, but she's tired. She's just too tired. What good would it do, anyway? He'd laugh and make a joke, she'd huff and walk off, and nothing would change at all.]

Ky will likely be approaching you sometime soon. He is concerned about your crystal going out of control. I did not give him the details or allow him to inspect your body. I would appreciate it if you set his mind at ease. He can be quite troublesome.

[That was part of why Ky slapped the filter on, in the hopes that Zelos might be a different kind of inclined to speak on the issue.]

I will admit to some concern on the issue. How sure are you that you'll always be able to control it?

[He does at least consider Zelos killing himself here as a type of control.]
