Because I don't want him to, I'll do what it takes to protect him, even if it means not sharing some o' my burdens or taking the fall for any thing he might have done.
What I'm trying to say is maybe it's the same for the one you want to protect, lass. They don't want ya to be burdened not because you aren't a big girl, but because you mean something to them. And they will be stubborn as a wall to keep ya from being in harm or exposed to any thing bad.
