Hey Vatheon, I, uh... I got a weird question. I'm still trying to figure out the whole 'feelings' thing even after being here for over a year and a half so I'm sort of at a crossroads here. There's someone I care about but I don't really know how to show 'em how much I appreciate their friendship. _{Actually, after last week it feels like it's startin' to become more than that... It's probably a bad idea.} Got any pointers for a guy?

If you take the plunge, stand by the decision you have made. Even if it does not turn out as you expect, you have to stand by it.

Yeah, I know. It's just hard trying to figure out how to go about it. It's sort of like climbing into a really flimsy boat and taking it out onto a rough sea 'cause this thing could possibly screw the relationship up, but... Haaa, it's tough making big decisions.

Do you know what you want out of this? I suppose if you don't have that, it's very hard to say what to do next.

Honestly? Just to have them know that I care about 'em as much as a Nobody can. I can't really say what I want out of our friendship in the future since I tend to just play things by ear.

I care about them a lot, actually. Last week was one of the best curses of my life here cuz they were around me.

You're not a nobody, you're a somebody. You are formed with thoughts of your own. And if you care about them that much, then tell them that. If they care for you in equal measure, then they will appreciate it.

It's a little complicated. I dunno how they'd feel about it so it's kinda freaky to even think about how it could turn out. I mean, I've still got Lea. _{I think.}

But I don't even know what to get 'em! I-I mean, I know books 'n stuff could be okay for one person, but the other, uh... I-I don't know what pirates like. They're my best friends.

The only way ya can really know for sure is ta talk. Otherwise, yer just bottlin' stuff up, and that ain't healthy. Nothin' is as clear as spoken words.

I'm a Nobody, remember? Technically I'm not supposed to have feelings and even though I'm one of the few guys who actually believes we've got 'em, it just gets really, really kind of hollow sometimes.

I can't really give any names though without it being too obvious what I'm confused over.

...I wouldn't expect you to name-drop, though I'm more interested in the notion of being unable to feel. Were you simply born that way? Have you truly never experienced emotions?

Technically, yeah. To the being born that way. It's a long story but to sum it up I died once and I was reborn into the body you see here but I was missing my heart--emotional one, not the physical even though I have a hard time feeling that beat from time to time. The only thing I have as far as emotions go are my memories and then the times I get that heart back here from a curse.

The way you make it sound, I could almost assume the 'heart' you mean is your soul itself. That, or you were revived with an emotional defect.

Nah... If I didn't have my soul I wouldn't even exist. There's a few other people here like me so it's not really a 'defect' persay, just a trait.
