[Around mid-morning, Asch can be seen leaving the library. He's walking slowly and more than a little awkwardly as a result of the mountain of books in his arms. He has to be carrying at least ten or twelve, a few of which look pretty heavy, stacked up against his chest and tucked under his arms. He looks more or less ridiculous walking down the street like this, but if he's aware of that, he's not paying it any mind.]

[Busy trying to keep all of the books steady, Asch isn't paying much attention to his surroundings. Apologies if he bumps right into you -- especially since that might topple the stack of books. How much reading does he intend to do, anyway?]

[ here's the effeminate samurai. For the new blood here, Kenshin's voiced by a woman (Freiza in the dub (no really)), and everyone kind of assumes Kenshin's a guy (history isn't too specific on this detail either). So.

Mr. Alcoholic is drinking sake out of a large red bowl once again with a cat sleeping on his lap. He's sitting on the floor like any proper samurai would do, of course. ]

How interesting how this odd world operates. It takes and takes, yet suddenly it returns. How good it is to see a familiar face once again.

And so many new faces have graced the bubble as well. I do wonder if any among them has information about Takeda Shingen-dono. I do miss him dearly. Without a proper rivalry I find myself longing for battle, as this land has few battles to offer. I dare not allow my skills atrophy. Echigo does depend on my skill to protect them.

U-um, hello? [There is a teenage girl indirectly looking at the camera, a flustered look on her face. It's not hard to tell she's new to the place, let alone new to the communicator.

After a few seconds of examining it, an invisible light bulb goes off in her head. She adjusts the communicator so that she's now staring directly at the camera. If one looks closely at the feed they might catch notice what appears to be a giant snake of some sort in the background. It seems to have its eye on the girl, though it's hard to tell what its current expression is.]

So, um... Are we really underwater? This isn't an illusion, right?

[As she speaks, the snake will proceed to slither up right behind her and place its head over her shoulder. She acknowledge its presence by placing her hand on the back of its neck and mutters something that sounds like, "Hello, Serperior".]

I... I know this has probably been asked a lot, but would someone mind telling me more about this place? In particular, where we are, what kinds of things we can do here, and maybe even what kinds of places we can visit? [A pause.] O-Oh, but I don't mind if just one of these is answered--I can probably figure out the rest by myself.

[She does a quick bow.] Thank you for your time!
