[Accidental Video]

[As the video feed comes on, all one can see is gray fur and what almost sounds like a small motor running. The fur is actually moving over the screen if one studies it, and the rumbling of the motor eventually reveals itself to be the purring of a gray short-haired kitten which soon shows itself as it ceases to rub its head against the SFC, instead looking into the camera with the rampant curiosity inherent to cats.

There's a small meow and then the feed is briefly killed, only to be restarted nearly as quickly as it had died. It's shortly after this that there's footsteps to be heard and the kitten and SFC are picked up by a certain long banged nobody.]

This isn't a toy, Bast.

[With those words, the feed is again killed, this time for good.]

It's impossible to keep an eye on them at every moment in the day. Thus accident's like this are bound to happen.

I figured I might as well, since calling it cat or kitten seemed silly and redundant.

So I've noticed. It's surprising to actually find out first hand just how much trouble such a little kitten can get into and find due to such rampant curiosity.

[He's been working on kitten-proofing his apartment ever since he opened Demyx's present.]

If you're a responsible owner, then you'll find some way to ensure your pets are not inconveniencing others.

The only one my pet is currently inconveniencing is me. I've already made certain she can't escape my apartment without me noticing the attempt to do so.

Do you honestly believe that we are unaffected? Your cat is responsible for turning on your device.

The little darlings just wish to see the rest of the world for themselves, I find. Perhaps you could go with ensuring those smaller spaces are taken care of so as to ensure her safety?

And it is your choice whether or not you pay attention to the accidental feed she caused. Neither of us forced you to pay the least amount of attention to it. Excuse us for taking up several seconds of the time it likely took you to watch it.

[He still can't really believe you went and dubbed the poor animal, Braig, of all things. Still, he supposes there are worse names out there, the animal is fortunate it didn't end up with one of them.]

Yes. When she's not sitting in the middle of the book I'm attempting to read, she is good company.

I've been working on that ever since she's arrived, usually whenever I think I might have finished, she tends to end up proving me wrong somehow.

[Well, since he's already put up everything that might be breakable... a ball might be just what he needs to distract the kitten from considering other things he hasn't put up as her personal play ground. Might even keep her entertained long enough for him to get some uninterrupted reading done.]

Keep it from happening in the future. There's a pet store in town. A proper owner would buy toys to occupy their pets' time!

No thanks necessary. I also find catnip works rather well to keep them distracted.

[ Pretty much works for his little Emily whose mewing fades into purring after a small inaudible murmur of comfort from this demon. ]

But other than that, cats do prove more often than not to be a preferred choice of pet. May I ask how long you've had her?

Athena does that too when I'm trying to play Arpeggio. She'll jump on my back when Braig's sleeping in my sweater hoods and then they start bickering. It's kinda cute but I end up having to boop 'em both on the nose to get 'em to chill.

She was a Christmas present from a friend of mine. [Who, it seems, took him seriously when he threatened not to open any gifts unless they made noise.]

So, going on two weeks now I think.
