[ The starfish is picking up a very talkative critter today. Not Sophie though - but the video is showing the girl lying flat on her back and perfectly still, her eyes closed. The talkative critter on the other hand, is a silver tabby kitten, currently standing on Sophie's stomach, and yowling. Non. Stop.

After several minutes of this, Sophie's eyes open and she sits up, the kitten tumbling off of her chest, only to be caught by her hands. The kitten shakes itself, staring at Sophie. Sophie stares back.

The kitten resumes yowling, louder than before. ]

... you're loud.

[ Observant, isn't she? But she continues watching the kitten, with the usual lack of expression, until she notices the recording from the starfish. ]

I found a little cat. It won't stop crying. I think it's hurt, but I don't see where.

[ No Sophie, not hurt, just hungry. Poor bitty needs to eat! ]

[Aw kitten. Rin does have a soft spot for kids and animals, and thankfully it doesn't have to be a demon cat for him to know what the yowling is about.]

[ Sophie looks at the kitten, who is now sitting on her left leg, yelling its little head off. Only not literally. ]

[Rin actually smiles a bit at that. From the sounds of it the little one is going to eat like a garbage disposal]

Well, they like fish and other meats, but he might be too young for that. He's... pretty small. I can help you find some kitten food maybe?

[ Sophie carefully puts a hand to the kitten's head, and the mewling stops briefly, then picks up again. Hungrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy~! ]

... Fish? [ Hey, Ryu was teaching her how to do that just the other day! Awesome! Oh but he's too young. Wait what? ]

He eats kittens? [ ...b...but that's his own kind! D: ]

[Having the soft spot for children and animals that he does, Dhaos can't help but answer. Children of all sorts are fairly easy to read in certain matters after all. And it helps that he speaks the language]

She's uninjured. She simply wishes for food.

[ Sophie gets to her feet, kitten in hands - poor skinny thing, how long had it been on its own? ]

Is it by the supermarket? [ Because she had no problem going there and getting food. Although it would probably end up being human food. ]

[Rin stops and shakes his head, getting up and taking his SFC with him.]

Nevermind. Where are you? I'll help you out, okay?

[ Just. Generic food, apparently. ]

Okay. I'm in the plaza. Near the coral.

[ At least she is now. She liked going over there. The kitten is now proceeding to attempt to chew on one of her pigtails. Silly kitty, that's not food. ]

Uh-huh - Someone is going to help me get food for her. I don't know what littlecats eat, besides fish.

[Uh oh. That's not good for it. Rin nods to Sophie, hoping he gets there before it starts trying to eat other things.]

... 'kay. Gimmie a few minutes, I'll be there soon.

It's more likely he's sick or hungry or something, I dunno.

[He pauses for a moment.]

Can you give me your current location? I believe I have something to remedy the situation.

[Meeting with a complete stranger is generally not something Dhaos does. In this case though, he will brave social interaction for the sake of a possibly starving kitten. He knows the painful feeling far too well to willingly allow anyone else suffer the same.]

Have you try checking the paws? Maybe it stepped on something. [Doesn't have pets so he doesn't realize it's hungry.] Too bad the coral only works on us and not the animals here. Do you know anyone who can check him out?

[ That's right! Her hair is not grape licorice, little cat. ]

[ And when Rin arrives, Sophie is sitting on the ground watching the, hunger forgotten for the second, fascinated into play hunting her pigtail. ]

[ The mewling kitten is currently doing its best to climb Mt. Sophie, which Sophie seems kind of amused by. ]

Someone is coming to show me where to get food for him. We're in the plaza now.

[ Which is good for future, but in the immediate sense.. ]

Do you have food already?

[ She's silent for a moment, checking the complaining kitten for injury. ]

He doesn't look hurt. [ D'aww, the kitty is randomly distracted by a bug. ]

I don't think he's sick either. [ The itty bitty is still pretty alert and energetic. ]

He must be hungry.

The paws? [ She hadn't thought of that, so she turns the cat over carefully. Not really sure what she's looking for beyond bleeding, which there are none of, thankfully. ]

No, the paws seem okay. Someone is coming though - they think the littlecat might be hungry.

[Rin turns his SFC off, and within a few minutes he's there. The second he sees the kitten he just grins, but makes sure to approach slowly so as not to accidentally scare the little thing. He's got his tail tucked away for once, knowing that the second the kitten sees it, it's likely going to become a plaything.

He crouches down in front of Sophie, holding a hand out so the kitten can sniff him. Luckily, despite his heritage, animals generally like him. Especially little ones.]

Hey there... havin' fun? Bet you forgot all about bein' hungry right now, didn't you?

[Of course that won't last - the second it gets bored of playing it will likely remember and start yowling again.]
