[Maybe you decided to go for a stroll through the park today. Maybe enjoy some of that underwater scenery?

Well if you happen to be walking along one of the stone pathways you may notice a trail of tiny, red, paw prints. If you happen to follow them you will end up running into a very strange looking cat with two tails and what look like horns seeming to enjoy making a mess with a tin bucket of red paint nearby. The contents are spilled out everyone over the stones, but the black cat doesn't seem to mind much. He's much more focused on drawing pictures with his paws.]

[ooc; kuro is a demon cat/nekomata and if your character is mythical/demon/whatever kuro can talk to them telepathically!]

[ When you're Amaimon, strolling is pretty much what you do all the time. This day was no exception, and of course, as was the case with many things, his curiosity was picked when he saw the paw prints on the pathway, and when his curiosity gets in the way, he'll generally follow it. Unless there's food nearby. Food is always an exception. But not now. As soon as he spotted Kuro, he stood there for a while watching, and after some time sat down, crossing his legs as he watched the cat amuse himself with paint. ]

[Right now he was currently drawing a picture of a rat he caught earlier that day and using one of his tails (also dipped in red paint) to help with some of the details. Honestly, he was so great at this. Too bad Rin would never let him paint on the walls like this.

He was just putting the finishing touches on the rat's blood when he felt a familiar presence watching him. When he looks up to see Amaimon there- just sitting there, he freezes, a paw in midair still dripping wet paint.]

[ As he drew it, Amaimon just watched, biting his nail, observing closely. This was all so fascinating to him. And cute as hell, to boot. He didn't have much of a reaction when Kuro turned to him and freezed, except pointing at the paint. ]

Can I do it too?

[Well of course, Junpei's always strolling, it's not like he has anything else to do around these parts. Especially not with everyone going crazy and basically everyone from his world just disappearing. On the upside, no studying, on the downside...boring.

So seeing paw prints is of course going to stop him and make him follow to make sure some animal hasn't hurt themselves. When he just sees Kuro at the end of the trail, it takes a moment before recognition pings at his memory and he approaches.]

Hey, Nekomacchan! [Kind of hard to figure out a cat's name when it doesn't seem like their owner is around, so congratulations on receiving one of Junpei's dumb nicknames.] Whatcha up to now? Redecorating?

['... Huh?' He was prepared for a fight- or to run, but that caught him off guard. He wanted to... paint... with him?

It takes him a second to process this, but in the end he doesn't see the harm in letting Amaimon try it out...

'Oh, uh... Yeah!' He puts his paw back down, a little dazed.]

Mrow! [Hey it was that one guy that gave him food?

Or was that someone else.

Oh well, he still remembers this guy too! Kuro pads over to him, trailing red paint with him from all paws and the tips of his tails.

'I'm painting! You can help me if you want!'] Meow!

[ Surprise surprise, Kuro. Amaimon is almost more than a pet than you could seem to the untrained eye, and he is easily distracted and/or entertained. He simply nodded with a slight hint of a smile, which was rare for him, and approached slowly. Dipping his hand into the tin bucket, he began to scribble, seemingly very focused, and as soon as he was done, he seemed fairly pleased with himself. ]

So you are painting. Seems legit. [He looks around the park before crouching down to Kuro's level.] With the way these weirdo natives are I doubt anyone's gonna notice. Y'don't mind if I try that too, do ya?

[snagglefang]

['Nope! I don't mind at all.' He meows again, still as cheery as before so Junpei can take that as a yes. He goes back over to the bucket to redip his paw in the paint again.] Miaow!

[When the initial shock starts to wear off Kuro goes back to painting as well, although he keeps looking back over at Amaimon more curious than anything now.

The red paint coats a good portion of his legs now and he walks over to where Amaimon is drawing, making sure not to drip paint on his picture. It looks familiar, but he can't place it...

'Who's that?']

[Having a cat buddy that lets you deface the park with him seems like it'd be an awesome idea, so he follows.

He's not dipping his fingers in, though. What is he, 12? Instead he takes out--surprise, surprise--a calligraphy brush and dips it in instead. It's not like he'll be using it to actually practice kanji or anything, that would be silly.]

Art ain't exactly one of my skills, so... [so he swipes the brush across the ground anyway, shaping something that looks vaguely human but only just barely.]

[He's super concentrated on it, though! Eventually he sits back, looking sort of wistfully at it before moving on.]

So where you been, Nekomacchan? It seems like you went poof for a little bit.

Aniue.

[ And with that, his attention was already turned to something else. He was now drawing a picture of Behemoth, completely oblivious to outside intervention. ]

[Walking back over, trailing more paw prints as he does, he sits down to watch Junpei draw.

When he sits back Kuro looks up at him, red tipped tails swaying.

'I was cursed for a little bit! That was weird, but not horrible...' Meow meow meow.]

['Your brother?' Oh... Oh that's right! He heard this from Rin... Wasn't it Mephisto? Shirou's old friend...

Instead of going back to his own art he lies down, tucking his feet under him as he continues to watch Amaimon draw, his red tipped tails swaying lazily behind him.]

Pss--well, it's not like I'm one to talk. Good ol' Junpei's been takin' a nap for the whole damn month. An' when I woke up, everyone was being followed around by--[he gestures at the fairy hovering around, not close enough for him to remember but always there nonetheless.] Those things. They make an awful racket, and of course they do it at midnight. Guess Vatheon's just going to keep remindin' me of the Dark Hour no matter what.

[He's kind of rambling now, but back to drawing anyway. This time it looks like a man with a bird's head. Also it's on fire.]

And I missed Yuka-tan's birthday, too. I'm surprised she ain't pissed at me. I didn't even get her a present!

[Huh. Well, that's unusual. But this is Vatheon, after all.]

Oh, so you're the cat Roxy was talking about.

[ Amaimon just kept doodling, occasionally straying his hand to pet Kuro as he did to Behemoth in the past, so it was a bit forceful, but not too much. In front of him, eventually, would be drawings of Kuro, Rin, Maka, Bon, Mephisto and then himself. He was ever so amused just doodling around. ]

[Namine had been wandering through the park with her sketchbook, trying to find something to draw. She almost didn't notice the cat until she saw the red paint, then realizing that the cat was actually drawing. Well, this was obviously new to her. She's never seen a cat try to draw before.]

[Oh hey, it's Rin's cat, what's he up to? Seems like they haven't run into each other much despite her forced abrupt move from the forest to the Villa with John and Rose. Then again she figures that since she's part dog, she'll freak out the cats anyway and leaves them alone out of courtesy.

Suppression of usual doggy tendencies to chase cats aside, Jade will inspect what's going on in this topic! By floating carefully over his already done drawings so she doesn't step on them.]

[It was uncomfortable enough for him to move away (not like he'd risk the consequences of what that would bring) so he withstood the petting, still watching Amaimon draw.

'Do you like Rin?' It may have been a bold question, but whatever.]

['The dark hour?' It was pointless to ask questions, but maybe if he gave Junpei a curious enough look he'd explain further on these things.

But even if he didn't that was okay. Sometimes just talking to someone instead of talking with them could be helpful.]

Mrrr... [He patted a now dry paw at Junpei's art. 'You could draw her a picture!']

Mrow? [He pauses in his merry painting of a mess to look up at Dirk, two red tipped tails swaying slowly.]

[At her question he meows loudly up at her- and by the tone in his voice he sounds pretty cheerful about it.

'The rat I caught this morning!' Maybe if she squinted and turned her head to the side she could see it looked a little like a dead, bloody rat.]

What's up, little dude? [He did sort of start talking about things that were unrelated to Vatheon as a whole, didn't he now?] The Dark Hour? That's a time when everyone in our city turns into coffins, it gets all creepy and quiet, and most of all monsters come out into the streets. Everyone except people like me, anyways, that can use these--[he points at what looks like a holster of a gun on his belt]--to summon our Persona to fight them. Normal highschool student by day, badass hero at night, huh?

[A pause as he taps at the picture with the blunt end of the brush.]

'Cept I'm not, really. Between you and me I'm still kind of a work in progress. [It's very rare that Junpei ever really actually confides in anyone, but he figures since Kuro--or Nekomacchan--is a cat, it won't matter.] Shit, even with this--whatever--curse going on right now, I can't help anybody. I can't even stay awake for my friend's b-day, heh! Total loser, am I right?

[This is getting a little too heavy. Junpei gets some more paint and begins to paint again. It's another girl, but her hair is shorter this time and not filled in with red.]

Yukari likes pink. I can probably pick her up something on the way back to the dorm. Not like it costs anything.

He's alright.

[ He didn't even turn to look at Kuro, his eyes focused on some random scribbles he was doodling. The answer, however, like all of his were, was absolutely honest. In his mind, their feud had been settled, if not for a little itch on the back of his head, but for now that was kept there. ]

I like playing with him.
