[The screen flickers and buzzes before focusing on a thoroughly soaked and annoyed looking albino. Gilbert, the albino, is dressed in what seems to be a black tank top and a dark blue pair of boxers. It is obvious that when he arrived here, he was either in bed, or dressed for it. He scowls down at the screen, and rakes his slim fingers through his hair, slicking it back before ruffling it in obvious aggravation]

Alright, this is some sort of...video thing. Great. Guess who ever kidnapped me was nice enough to stick a starfish camera on my face. Thanks for almost giving me a fucking heart attack. Jerk!

[Gilbert lets out a loud huff and the screen jostles, briefly peering at the floor when the albino moves to stand up. The screen remains staring at the floor, but Gilbert's voice is audible]

What the hell is this place anyway? Looks like I'm in an underground Sea world. And what the fuck is this...tattoo thing? Tch, it's dark...

[The screen is moved to view the dark mark on the underside of Gilbert's wrist, the faint glow from the SFC letting the albino have a better view of it. After a moment, the screen moves again to focus on Gilbert's angry face]

I'm usually a pretty cool guy, but if the freak who kidnapped me is watching this, you better damn well hope I don't find you! You better send me home soon, alright?! There's a case of beer in the fridge and if I don't defend it, Bruderchen will drink it all without me! That and...and I was in a middle of a raid! My character's probably dead now...dammit...

[Gilbert frowns contemplatively at the screen]

Does this function as a phone too? Can I send SOS videos on it? Although I don't think the coastguard can help me unless they pack a submarine underneath their tower chair things. Hellooooo~ anyone out thereeeee~ or am I a crazy person talking to a starfish?

I'd like to tell you that you could go back home but, well, from what I've gathered from talking to people here...nobody knows how to do that. I also hear no one's seen whoever is responsible for putting us all in this domed city.

[There's a pause. But Chie looks as if she remembers something and continues talking.]

Oh, right! The city we're in is Vatheon. It's sort of like Atlantis but that's all I really know about it right now, sorry.

Atlantis? So we are underwater? Great, so even if we do get out we'd have to swim several leagues to the surface... [Nations are immortal, but that doesn't mean they can swim around without needing to breathe, and their bodies are still subject to the effects of pressure. It wouldn't be pretty.]

...I'm getting lots of responses from people here though, so...this starfish thing is like a communicator to everyone else within, uh, Valeon or whatever? How many people are here anyway?

Yeah, it is. It's pretty strange looking though if you ask me.

As for how many people are in Vatheon, I have no idea either. I've only met a handful of people foreign to this city myself since I arrived, which seems to be around the same time you did, too.

You've been gone for that long? Someone should've noticed that. [Right? Well, Gilbert didn't notice because he had been busy playing his video games, but...c'mon.] Hrn, well...I still don't like the thought of just being randomly kidnapped. Bruderchen's going to become so dull and boring without me to remind him to stop being so uptight.

So people come here at the same time? [Interesting...] This is weird. Why did...whoever kidnap us anyway, do you know? Because he could've waited until I was actually /dressed/ before snatching me up... [It was cold being in a soaked through tank top and boxers.]

I don't know that either, unfortunately.
I hear that the people here get contacted by whoever they are though on occasion, so maybe we can get some answers out of these higher ups on a day they do that!

[She realized at this point she wasn't even sure..who this guy was. Oops.]

Time doesn't... exactly work the same here. It's as if no time at all has really passed back home no matter how long we spend here. If I'm to be completely honest, I tend not to be from the same era as most others as well. [But that was probably another discussion for another time.]

I don't think many really likes the idea of random kidnapping no matter how nice the place can be. I hesitate to say everyone since, well, sometimes this actually seems preferrable to some rather than being back home.

Yeah, I am actually. Inaba, Japan to be precise.

[Kind of an odd question to ask in Vatheon where everyone is from all over, even other planets, but oh well. Chie didn't mind it.]

[Canada's explanation just confuses him further. Gilbert began to get a headache. He just wants to get into dry clothes and sleep on this entire situation for a few hours.]

Hm, so I'm guessing this place isn't a hellhole or a secret Big Brother project or something.

[Well Gilbert was just wondering if any of his citizens were around. It'd make things feel more comfortable in any case. Japan's citizens will have to do though, since he was on relatively good terms with him.]

Japan's a nice place - speaking of... [well since Canada was here as well...] do you know a guy called...uh, [what was his human name again goddammit] Kiku Honda? Or Honda Kiku? Whichever way is right.

[At least he has a clean, dry towel with him for poor Gilbert. And probably a couch to sleep on.]

...you're going to have to forgive me for having no idea what a 'Big Brother' project is so I can't really address that part of things. However, as far as hellholes go, this place isn't so bad as some places I've been.

I've never seen anything like this, pal. I barely can get a damn camera to work.

I haven't gotten the chance to meet many people yet so I probably just haven't encountered the guy yet.

[Gilbert would sleep on the floor at this rate so a couch is good.]

It's a nickname, Vaaaaally~ I think it has a nice ring to it, personally...although it sounds like a shortened version of Valerie, kesesese~

[Gilbert let's out a whoop of laughter. This was actually pretty fun, and was distracting him from the fact that he had just been kidnapped, and was standing around in his soaking wet underwear. Venting and riling people up was Gilbert's idea of a fun time!]

Ah! Hard to punch a nose you can't reach, Valerie! [Yeah, Gilbert prefers Valerie now.]

[Eddie gives a frustrated snort.]

Yer drippin' wet, pal and sound confused.

I know exactly where you are, wise guy and if I gotta I'll hunt your sorry ass down.

[At least one of them is amused!]

[Hm, this was true. Gilbert considered his next move, looking around him and up at the creepy coral thing looming over him.]

...I think I'll take my chances, Valerie [innocent smile] Besides! I think I'd love the company, angry or not! [Better than standing here alone, in any case.]
