Video Log 1

[The screen flickers and buzzes before focusing on a thoroughly soaked and annoyed looking albino. Gilbert, the albino, is dressed in what seems to be a black tank top and a dark blue pair of boxers. It is obvious that when he arrived here, he was either in bed, or dressed for it. He scowls down at the screen, and rakes his slim fingers through his hair, slicking it back before ruffling it in obvious aggravation]

Alright, this is some sort of...video thing. Great. Guess who ever kidnapped me was nice enough to stick a starfish camera on my face. Thanks for almost giving me a fucking heart attack. Jerk!

[Gilbert lets out a loud huff and the screen jostles, briefly peering at the floor when the albino moves to stand up. The screen remains staring at the floor, but Gilbert's voice is audible]

What the hell is this place anyway? Looks like I'm in an underground Sea world. And what the fuck is this...tattoo thing? Tch, it's dark...

[The screen is moved to view the dark mark on the underside of Gilbert's wrist, the faint glow from the SFC letting the albino have a better view of it. After a moment, the screen moves again to focus on Gilbert's angry face]

I'm usually a pretty cool guy, but if the freak who kidnapped me is watching this, you better damn well hope I don't find you! You better send me home soon, alright?! There's a case of beer in the fridge and if I don't defend it, Bruderchen will drink it all without me! That and...and I was in a middle of a raid! My character's probably dead now...dammit...

[Gilbert frowns contemplatively at the screen]

Does this function as a phone too? Can I send SOS videos on it? Although I don't think the coastguard can help me unless they pack a submarine underneath their tower chair things. Hellooooo~ anyone out thereeeee~ or am I a crazy person talking to a starfish?

[His response is calm, measured and utterly deadpan.]

There are others out here, yes, and we can hear you. But you might still be a crazy person talking to a starfish.
messianic: (With its own tints the sober grey.)

Foreigners like you. There are a lot of us.

Welcome to Vatheon. I know it can be confusing, but maybe I can help.
messianic: (Not of detention is Fruition —)

[He nods calmly for his part.]

It could be a different dimension. We're not entirely sure how it works, to be honest.

But I'm Minato. It's nice to meet you.

Don't think on it too much, kid. Everyone talks to this starfish.

It's about the only thing that makes sense.
unnoticeable: (that mark our place)

You don't have to be talking to a starfish to be considered crazy. Though, it's sometimes I good indication that someone might be a bit 'off their rocker.' [There was a polite smile as he offered a friendly enough wave, all things considered.]

At any rate, welcome to Vatheon.
unnoticeable: (let's test that theory.)

[Secretly he's really pleased to hear that but being the modest one, he offers a polite smile with an apologetic shake of his head.] S- sorry. I haven't seen your brother here. [There was a bit of a pause as he gave some more thought to that question.] Not in the time that I've been here, anyway.

As for your other question, there are several of us here, actually. For a while it was only Japan, Vietnam, and myself but America has recently showed up, again, and I was talking to Italy again earlier. They were here before but neither of them remember it so I don't think they'd be much help, anyway, with any questions. [No offense to either of them, but he wouldn't really point out either of those two as primary people to ask questions about Vatheon or anything to for that matter.]

As far as Vatheon goes, it's located somewhere under the ocean. Nobody is quite sure where or even if it completely exists a reality that belongs to any of the other people who have been brought here, but on the plus side there's an island that can be visited via an elevator. [That probably made things all the more confusing but he was trying to find some positive among the bad news.] Unfortunately for all intents and purposes, we're pretty much stuck here.

It's something that never really makes sense at first since it seems so... fantastical and downright insane. But after a little while the reality sets in... [A shrug accompanied a soft sigh before he simply moved on with the conversation.]

I'm pretty sure there's a long line of people who wish to punch whoever it was that brought us here so you'll probably have to wait in line. As for where I currently am, I'm sitting at home. I can bring you a towel and change of clothes if you'd like. As well, pretty much all of the stores are free except those in Nostalgia Nook, so there's always that option as well.

It'd probably be easier if I showed you a map. That, however, would either require me telling you how to access one via the communicator and probably confusing you more or just showing you in a little bit.

Do you see fountains or a large coral-looking thing or anything like that? Or perhaps the library? It'd help to know which direction to send you in other than 'lower district'.
unnoticeable: (the time will come for you and me)

[personal profile] unnoticeable 2012-01-31 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
Perfect. Go ahead and take the south path and just keep walking. You'll come to some stairs going down to the lower district. I'll come meet you by them.

As for the coral... it's a bit odd, but useful actually. If one is feeling tired or drained or anything, they can touch it and immediately feel better.
unnoticeable: (i'll be back for you someday)

It's not so bad. ...at least you missed the giant octopus that attacked the the protective dome. [Just ignore the sounds of someone fumbling around as he's still chatting while looking for the largest towel he can find that currently isn't being sat on by a polar bear.]
unnoticeable: (one day soon)

[personal profile] unnoticeable 2012-01-31 11:17 am (UTC)(link)
Surprisingly no. That was one of those odd happenings. Speaking of which, yeah. Every now and then 'curses' seem to happen. Weird things. Usually last a week. Not everyone is always affected by them, though. [There was another slight shrug and apologetic look as he really didn't know much about them at all other than that they happened and people simply had to deal with it.]
unnoticeable: (the sky turned to grey)

video;

[personal profile] unnoticeable 2012-01-31 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
It's something like that. For a little while we used to have these little fairy things that followed us around. But, ah, they exploded only a week or so ago so you don't have to worry about that. [But yeah. It was probably something like England's cursesin a way. Just weirder.]

It's probably best if you didn't know but sooner or later you're bound to get caught up in one or something. [At least he's also finally out the door and heading for the stairs.]
unnoticeable: (we'd face the fighting with a smile)

Eh. It's not so bad, really. [But that sort of question also really varied as it was different from individual to individual and all. Everyone had their own slightly different experiences.]

It depends upon how one feels about this whole thing I guess. I've been here... a while. I first came over a year ago but I've been back home twice now for a little while each time before coming back so I'm pretty much accustomed to the whole thing. You meet a lot of interesting people, really, so having friends helps it seem more like just regular living. You can occasionally forget the whole 'I've been abducted and brought here against my will thing' for a little while until those reminders of 'oh yeah. I'm not at home.' pop up.
