12 ⊙ dream | Rising Sun, 1908

_{[If anyone were to wander into this particular dream, they would be greeted by what appears to be a desert town. While it may have been pristine and exotic in the past, now it resembled a battlefield. Many of the buildings that once stood proud in the city were now in varying degrees of ruin, and quite a few streets left much to be desired. Not only that, but there were the bodies. If they were to explore, they'd come across a number of them--maybe it was a small handful, maybe there were dozens but regardless of the number it's obvious that there's a higher goal in mind than quashing a rebellion.

Soon enough, a relatively clear street comes into view with a small group of Ishvalans below staring up at something--no, someone. Closer inspection reveals that it's not just anyone--most Amestrians wouldn't be running around with half of their uniform off, let alone standing where a sniper could easily pick him off. At first it seems like Kimblee will walk away--surely he would what with being outnumbered, right? ...No. He's moving. Is he going to surrender? ...Not likely.]}

A soldier--?

A transmutation circle... A State Alchemist?!"

_{[Bingo.

There's a glint of red in the sunlight as he places something between his teeth, then he's clapping his hands together to create a brilliant crackle of red light that trails down the side of the building and into the streets beneath their feet.

And then everything explodes with a deafening roar. Rubble flies and smoke billows out between the buildings and... Oh dear. All of that just with one shot.

It's silent for a few seconds, and then a maddening shriek comes from Kimblee as he dissolves into laughter, his arms outstretched before the ruined street.]}

Kimblee. Kimblee don't flop down on your back.

Kimblee. Get up.

Stop cackling like a madman where someone can easily see you. Stop it.

...Then Kimblee jerks out of his sleep far too soon for his liking.. He makes a small hum as he turns over to stare up at the ceiling with a bit of a disappointed look. It always ends just as things start to get good.]}

It does look good on you.

[Even with Kimblee playing whatever it was, Vanitas looked pretty smug. He hadn't denied the good looking part or the liking part. Putting his arm back around Kimblee's middle to give a light squeeze before he scooted to the edge of the bed. Turning his back towards the other to stretch out.]

_{[He sure makes things complicated, doesn't he?]}

_{[Once Vanitas scoots away, Kimblee swings his legs over the edge and stands up to properly stretch his legs out before he walks over to the closet to start rifling through it. Once he finds a suitable one, he removes his current one in order to pull the burgundy one over his head.]}

That's better.

[It keeps it interesting.]

Are you wearing it because I picked it out or are you implying I have good taste? [Don't mind him watching the other switch shirts.

Vanitas decided not to bother with his shirt. It was lost some where in the blankets or on the floor. They weren't going any where either. Hopping off the bed to pad over to the door.] Let's see how long until that one wrinkles. [He will help with the process again. And down the hall to the living room he went.]

Vanitas, you could pick out the ugliest scarf this city has to offer and I'd still wear it.

_{[He'll follow Vanitas out, branching off to head into the kitchen to grab something out of the freezer. When he returns, he wordlessly sticks a popsicle into the other's face as he takes a seat.

Just.

Think of it as some weird apology thing for the whole... getting shot in the dream.]}

[When Holidays rolled around again, he will remember to get the ugliest Christmas sweater for Kimblee. Just to test that.

He turned on the television and started the system before plopping down on the couch to wait for the other. As soon as he was back, he will blink at the popsicle. Geez. Kimblee really did like spoiling him.

Vanitas will offer up a controller in exchange, but keep it just out of reach in hopes Kimblee would get close enough to try to snatch it.]

_{[Just get him the tackiest pair of sunglasses Vatheon has. He'll wear them and dare people to say something about them!

Looks like he gets his wish, because he's going to come closer to the couch to properly hand off the treat and retrieve the controller.]}

[Just going to yank him down with his free hand. This might be familiar, Kimbutt!

Then he'll help himself to planting a quick kiss against the side of Kimblee's head.]

You really like spoiling me. Not that I'm complaining. [Trading treat for controller before letting Kimblee go. He'll wait for the other get comfortable as he unwrapped the popsicle to put it in his mouth.]

_{[FACE, MEET VANITAS.

He barely avoided crashing into the other, one hand flying out to brace himself against the back of the couch before he's released. Once he's free, he makes his way to claim the other side and practically sprawls out and leans against Vanitas a bit.]}

And you seem to like dragging me down. One of these days I'm going to lose my balance and end up landing on you.

[He's fine with the rough landing and Kimblee taking up most of the couch.]

So long as you don't land on me the same way as you have on ice, then I think I can manage. [Leaning abainst him in return as he licked the treat.]

It's not my fault someone decided to crash into me and use me as a speed bump.

_{[He'll just distract himself by going through the motions of getting to the character select screen.]} Do you want the top screen or the bottom?

[He's going to help himself to his partner's ear space.]

I like the idea of being on top. [Spoken low before he went back to paying attention to his popsicle to get the stray drips on the bottom.]

Maybe I should use another for the communicator's wallpaper. Any suggestions?

Is that so? _{[Flirt much, Vanitas?]}

If you insist on having a picture of me as your wallpaper, I'd rather it be something a bit more flattering. _{[He reaches out with one hand and makes a 'give it' motion.]} Let me see what you have on your SFC.

[He should be used to it by now.

Pulls the SFC out and then holds it out. Vanitas knows how to get even if he decides to delete anything.

Licking along the length of the treat as he watched him.]

_{[Flattery can get you everywhere.

Kimblee sets the controller down on his knee as he starts to skim through the device, pausing a few times as he comes across some... Ahem, questionable pictures of himself in order to give Vanitas A Look. He's not sure what bothered him more;

The fact that Vanitas took pictures of him asleep, or the fact that he doesn't seem to care that the other took pictures of him while asleep.]}

...If anyone else were to see this, they may think you're actually in love with me or at the very least stalking me.

_{[Nevermind that Kimblee's well aware of whatever 'relationship' this is.

Finally he settles on one of the pictures taken during their adventures at the carnival and sets it as the background before he hands it back with a faint smile.]}

There you go.

[He doesn't even seem ashamed of being caught with those pics. Just going to keep enjoying his popsicle.

Just going to snort at the love and stalking part.]

If they could, then my bets would be on stalking. [Another lick.] I don't care what they assume though.

[He probably would have bigger things to worry about if someone had managed to get his SFC.

He will stare at that expression for a moment before taking back his SFC. Looking at the screen for a bit.]

Even if they came up to you wanting answers about it?

_{[He stares at Vanitas for a few moments before he reluctantly closes his eyes.]}

[And when he does close his eyes, Vanitas will be careful as he held popsicle and SFC. Going to be interesting. Aiming the lens first and making sure his finger was over the button. Once that was good he leaned over to give Kimblee a kiss. His mouth might be a bit cold, but fruity! And he took a pic at the same time.]

Well, he... He really should have expected something like this, all things considered. Unfortunately for Kimblee, he opened his eyes just as the flash went off. This was--Welp.

[Settling back in his own space.] Hmm?

[And back to his popsicle like nothing happened. He was looking at the screen to see how it turned out..]
