[It's a large, imposing hive that Nepeta is standing in front of, her eyes wide as she stares up at it. Pounce stands next to her, a smart green ribbon tied around her neck for the occasion - Nepeta has had to straighten it more than once, though, because it's been a long journey to get here.

She's so excited! For the first time ever she'll see her moirail in person! Her own moirail, bossy as he could be, and she just can't wait for him to open the door so she can fling herself at him.

Sure enough the door slowly starts creaking open, only for a white centaur to appear behind it - oh, yes, of course! Equius' butler lusus, Aurthour! She's heard lots about him, and Pounce is already purring their business at him when Nepeta spies a shadow in the background, looming yet apparently unsure whether to step forward or not.

She knows who that is!

The kittytroll launches herself through the air, and to her surprise the second before she hits him, Equius goes completely limp, so the two of them go sliding right down the entranceway together.]

[...wow. She can understand his need for constant towels now.]

[Equius is still a little uncertain about this whole moirail thing. Nepeta seems nice enough, and she is definitely able to calm him down when he's feeling all ragey and highbloody, but they haven't met in person yet, and the gods only know what she'll think of him when she sees him for the first time. Text and talking online don't quite convey the hulking monstrosity he is in real life, or why he always talks about needing towels.]

[Of course, he wasn't expecting her to fling herself at him like that! Thank goodness his instincts kick in and he goes limp before she hits him, or she might have shattered herself against his STRONG chest.]

[Equius doesn't feel any particular need to be embarrassed with Gamzee. They've done more embarrassing things together, certainly! He does, however, have slightly bluer cheeks than normal when he responds.]

[A line delivered with absolutely no hidden barbs. Considering he had never been in a position to meet anyone, there might have been a chance of it coming across as grumpy, but honestly, Gamzee is just really glad for Equius that he had had that chance.]

Equius is kind of a silly motherfucker even if does try to act like he ain't.

[Okay, seriously, he has no idea what to do in this situation. He glances at Aurthor beseechingly for help, but the centaur lusus has moved from head scritches to belly rubs on Pounce, and the rumbling purr from the cat lusus making the entire floor vibrate.]

For the last time, Nepeta, I command you to get off!

[He'd be lying if he said that purring she's doing wasn't kind of relaxing, though.]

You so are. You're our silly, STRONG mister grumpypants, and you're the very bestest there is.

...aren't you happy I'm here, Equius?

[She peeks up at him with large, sad eyes. She travelled so far to meet him! And he hasn't said a single nice word to her yet.]

[Behind Nepeta, Aurthor snorts loudly. He's just admonished his charge in Horse, letting him know that he's very disappointed with his rudeness. Between that and Nepeta's Sad Kitten Eyes, Equius' gruff demeanor melts away.]

Yes, I'm happy you're here. I simply... [he pauses] ... I can't get up with you on top of me like this.

...oh! Why didn't you say so in the first place, silly?

[She obligingly gets off of him, waiting for him to get to his feet - at which point she'll attach herself to his side again.]
