I was summoned under the class Saber, and have been twice now. Heroic Spirits go by their class names during Holy Grail Wars to protect their identity.

Well, we did go on it, but we didn't finish it before I wound up here. We made our way to Rome to put a stop to a pair of giants who were working for Gaea. As part of that we rescued another demigod named Nico who was going to lead us to the doors of death so we can close them. That won't stop Gaea, but it will slow her down since the monsters she's using won't be able to come out of Tartarus so easily.

But we were just leaving Rome after two of my friends fell into a pit that leads right into Tartarus - there was no way to rescue them or we would have - and then I wound up here.

If I hadn't used the fortune cookie Nemesis gave me to rescue two of my friends, the other two wouldn't have fallen. Se said that using it would come with a steep price. But the two that fell wound up here, too.

after awhile human souls just dont quite cut it so some of us turned to our own kind. its how I got to where I am today otherwise I'd probably be some mindless animal. where I come from, you got a group of people called shinigami and they basically exist to exterminate our kind. whichever side loses is wiped out and thats how its been for thousands of years.

It depends. Outside of the three families who originated the Holy Grail Ritual together, almost no one knows about the true intention of the Holy Grail War. Most Masters, like their Servants, believe that it's just a way to get a wish granted. So the Servants aren't really being tricked then, if their Masters are being tricked too.

But there has never been a winner of the Holy Grail War, so it has never reached that point where a Master has to turn on his Servant.
