Yes, a nose. A red-orange, big, adorable piggy-nose. Kohaku pulls the piggy-nose away from the video feed and holds him gently in her arms, gently petting the small pig in her arms who is happily nuzzling his new mama. ]

He hatched yesterday! And he's been clinging to me all day. I guess he's a Mama's boy, right?

[ She giggles as she's nuzzled again. ]

I feel like I should have name for him, though. Any suggestions?

[ She looks closely at the pig and tries to imagine both names with him. She then shakes her head. ]

They're cute, but ... I guess I kind of want a name that means something other than 'pig' for him. We already know he's a piggy.

He sneezed out fire a few moments after he hatched. He's a definite fire type!

[ And he wants attention. He's looking at Kohaku with big ol' eyes. Demanding little baby, isn't he? Kohaku pats his head a few times, gently. ]

We have a few charred items in the household now, but he's just so adorable that nobody can really stay mad at him at all ~

He's adorable like Uncle Rin, too ~

[ Yes, she did pick up some Japanese from her little bro-bro. She looks the tiny piglet, trying to give the name some thought. ]

[ The Tepig cocks his head to the side cutely. ]

[ He doesn't seem to understand the question. ]

No, but he doesn't have to just yet. He was only born yesterday and all.

[ She nuzzles her cheek gently against Tepig's head. Tepig lets out a happy little snort. ]

True! And hey whatever you name him, I'm sure it'll be fine.

I don't think he's very picky ... but I am.

[ Tepig seems to know that Mama is talking about him, so he snorts happily. Because YAY Mama is holding him and cuddling him and he loves his mama! ]

Yeah, I figured. But that's okay. He's gotta be stuck with it and you're the one raisin' him so you gotta go with a good one.

... Those things breath fire, right? How about "Cinders"? Or "Torchy"?

Exactly! I mean, Bianca says I don't have to give him a name. I just feel like it's appropriate. Especially since he'll be such a huge part of my life from now on.

[ She nuzzles the little piglet again, who is starting to get sleepy. ]

It's only right that he has a name. A good one.

This species of Pokemon is called Tepig, and in her world, it's perfectly acceptable to just continue to call the Pokemon by their species name. Many trainers apparently nickname their Pokemon, though.

... seems a bit... uhm... I'unno what the word is [impersonal] but that would kinda suck to be called the thing you are instead of. Y'know. A name.

I can see why they name them instead.

Yeah, I thought that, too. This little guy definitely deserves a name of his own.

[ The little guy is now fast asleep and resting against her shoulder. ]
