[Video] - Moving Out - 009
((Backdated to the 26th))
Lunaday, Ifrit-Redecan 20, ND 2018
[The need for more apartment space had been evident since day one. As handy as the Pendilum housing was... it just wasn't fit for more than one person. And as much as they'd attempted to get it to work, it seemed that neither of the occupants of Pendilum 3-3 were enjoying their cramped quarters anymore. When the suggestion to move was finally uttered, both Luke and Guy jumped immediately at the chance.
So, the two men had spent the last handful of days packing away what belongings they had, borrowing a couple smaller carts from one of the more generous locals as they worked their way from the middle district down to the more populous areas of the bottom tier of the city. It wasn't a horribly tricky move - getting all the things down three flights of stairs had proven to be the most difficult part, after all.
The cart idea had come as a last-minute option. Guy himself wasn't sure whether it was it was good or bad at this point. Especially considering that, at the base of one of the steeper ramps, Luke had apparently decided to go catapulting down the street atop a still-empty cart, shoving Guy on along the way despite the cries of protest.
It had been a rickety, loud ride the entire way down, ending rather ungracefully as a wheel caught into the rocks and dumped its passengers onto the cobblestone before the cart itself reeled, veering to the side and clattering to the ground.
Ow.
Ah well. At least their belongings hadn't suffered from that particular trip (all their boxes still sat at the top of the hill, thank god). And despite the nasty gashes they sported afterwards, both men had spent a good while just lying in a heap in the middle of the street, sprawled out on the cobblestone in a tangled mess of limbs, laughing and wincing and shoving at one another... and, well, feeling like kids for a moment.
It was the first laugh Luke had uttered in his stay at Vatheon. As reckless and childish of a decision as it might have been, Guy couldn't help but let it slide for just this once.]
[When the video kicks in, Guy's plopped to a seat on the carpeting of the lower floor of one of the Yutopil apartments, a box of books at his side. He's already sporting an impressive wrapping around one elbow and a couple smaller bandages around his hand, but his high spirits seem to show he doesn't really mind them at all. He takes a second to grab a cushion from the nearby couch and throw it overhanded at someone off-screen, laughing as it makes very obvious contact with its target (if the quiet curse isn't evidence enough) before turning his attention to the feed.]
Hahah, ah, for those that care to know! Luke and I have moved down to a larger apartment by the Nostalgia Nook. If you need the address, feel free to shoot me a message.
As for everyone else: answer something for me, if you'd like! Back in your own worlds, what would you have considered home to be? Did you live in one place all your life, or were you a traveler? And hey, what kind of living space would you prefer if you had the chance?

[Zelos grins at his own stupid joke.]
And some skin. What happened to your arm?
Na, the carpet was calling my name. I couldn't resist.
...Oh, this? [He glances at his arm a bit apathetically, shrugging.] Took a tumble earlier - I guess the ground needed my skin more than I did, hah. I can still feel all my fingers, so I'm sure I'll be fine.
[He's totally messing with you, bro~]
Speaking of, I got someone to make all the uniforms so we should be set in a week or so. She works pretty fast, but I think this first round'll be suits from that one shop on the plaza.
[Can you tell Zelos is kind of excited about this club? Because he is.]

Though it does make him mock glare as he sneaks up to Guy while the blonde speaks and, as soon as he's done talking, retaliate by swinging the pillow like a baseball bat right at his head.]
Think fast!
[action] I giggled and it's only the first tag IS THIS A GOOD SIGN
[Not fast enough, apparently - the blonde barely has time to turn his head and let out a yelp of surprise before the cushion meets the side of his face with a firm THWACK.
Not that it was a very hard blow or anything, but it takes him a second to slack his jaw at the sudden force, tilted over to rest on an elbow as he glances back up at his roommate.]
Kkkh-- you little bastard--!
[The blonde gives a short, quick laugh before shooting the redhead a dangerously devious smirk, pivoting on his feet and striding right back to the couch to pluck up another pillow. The communicator is set aside for the moment, public survey completely forgotten.
Hide while you can, man - if you want to start a pillow fight, Guy is more than happy to oblige.]

How she's going to get it to the third floor of the Ikashun apartments is a mystery she'll solve when she gets there.]
I'd like the address please~ The Colonel and His Majesty and I all moved too, by the way. Guess this is just the week for it!
[Audio]
Ah, I wasn't aware the three of you were all together now. I take it that everything went smoothly?

I have no preference for where my people live, as long as they will be safe. We moved a few times, either when the base was compromised, or a more tactically advantageous location was found.
[A pause as he thinks over the last part some more.]
I like what we have here, though it's emptier than what I'm accustomed to.
voice
Some situations don't really call for anything but flexibility, I suppose. Were you in situations where your safety was compromised often?

[Hey, something about the way that apartment is set up looks really familiar to Lloyd. He blinks, then decides to take Guy up on the offer.]
Where'd you guys move to?
I will assume [Video]!
[He glances at the screen for a moment before settling into a rather broad grin. Ahhh, so Luke hadn't told him! Oh well, surprises were always fun.]
You should be pretty close by, if I'm remembering correctly. We're in Yutopil - first floor, fifth room.
H-haha, yes [Video]

It looks like you hurt yourself... where are you?

Yutopil 1-5... and hey, don't worry, I'll be fine. It's just some surface scraping - nothing I can't deal with.
[Yeah, sure, it hurts something awful, but it's not like he broke a bone or anything. No big deal!]

[he sighs a little.]
I lived with my parents in the capital, but...
[... he shakes his head, then frowns]
In any case, what happened to your arm? Do you need help?
I just got a little clumsy and took a fall outside - I'll be alright. Bumps and scrapes never hurt anyone too much.
...When was the last time you saw your parents?
video;
[...Yeah.]
Doesn't matter to me where I live. As long as there's food and a place to call a bed, I'm good.
video;
Is that by your own choice, or is it something you really can't control?
video;
And then they're out of frame, but he can still hear them laughing and running around. With a smile, Peony lets the SFC sit on the edge of the kitchen counter, wandering elsewhere in the apartment to take another look around and acquaint himself with the layout better.
When he comes back, they're both still out of frame.]
Breaking in the new place doesn't mean you have to actually break anything, Guy~
[video; mid-pillow fight!]
Ahh, don't worry, nothing's broken-- [There's a jostle of the camera as the SFC is picked up and the camera hastily re-directed. Guy's extremely disheveled and just slightly sheepish, but he looks pretty pleased with himself.]
Just some overly-fluffed pillows and a bit of ego-bruising, I guess. I'm not really for massive property damage on the first day in, Your Majesty.

[Perhaps he should have thought about this more before responding, as Ky isn't quite certain how to follow that up.]
I've always gone where I was needed, although there was a certain church I spent some time in as a child. When I return to visit, though, it's for the Sisters, not so much the building itself.
[It is a beautiful building, and Ky's glad that it survived the war, but the floors had hardly been easy to sleep on and stained glass windows, while beautiful, don't do a good job of blocking out the light.]
[voice] If I'm spamming you, sorry!

[...]
Do you need healing? That arm looks pretty bad.
For me, any place with my friends was a home, along with the house I grew up in back in Iselia.
[She tilts her head.] Did you two move to Yutopil? [If they did, that would explain the noise...]
