[Text] - A Day of Little Importance - 013
Lunaday, Ifrit-Decan 41, ND 2018
[The date is circled in Guy's personal journal. But he hasn't bothered to tell anyone. With the curse going on and a murderer on the loose in the city, it doesn't really seem like a decent topic to bring up. Besides, he's never been one to draw attention to himself, especially at times where attention was needed somewhere else.
It's still bringing up an interesting topic to his head, though. Hmm.
Sticking to text this time around for as little confusion as possible - he doesn't need people thinking they're speaking with Zelda, after all.]
I understand different cultures have different ideas of when someone is considered an adult, right?
So hey... on your home worlds, what would people do for someone who had come of age? Celebrations, ceremonies... or maybe it's not exactly a right of passage as far as you're concerned?
I'm curious.
[And he'll just leave it at that. He's technically been an adult on Auldrant for long enough - exactly a year ago, to the day.
But he already learned a while ago to treat his birthday as just another day. Celebrate that he's stayed alive one more year, and that's it.
So that is exactly what he's going to do.]

not here
having titsbeing women, so Zelos spends quite a bit of time lazing around, trawling the network, and styling Duke's hair in all sorts of strange ways. What? What would you do if yours was that long? Don't judge him!In any case, he hadn't spoken to Guy in anything like a meaningful way since he'd hung up on him some time ago. Yes, they'd chatted, but there's a definite shift in how the two men deal with each other, mostly on Zelos' end. For all the progress he'd made in making friends, in actually caring about Guy (that hadn't changed), Zelos had backpedaled so fast it's a wonder he didn't trip over himself.
Even though there are things he could share with Guy concerning coming of age, things he might have been willing to share before. He'd been opening up to Guy, just a little, and he only realizes it now that he's hesitant to do it again.
With a blank stare at the screen, Zelos simply clicks the SFC off without saying a damn word.]
[Action] Not getting out of it so fast, man.
Someone's bothered.
Just gonna slip into the doorway, then. his arms crossed and an eyebrow raised.]
Nothing really catching your interest tonight, huh?
[The overly casual tone sounds weird coming from Zelda's mouth. Oh well.]
[Action] DEFLECTION SHIELDS TO MAX
Just thinkin'... these murders. This is starting to look like a serial thing. Who the hell would do that to Bianca of all people? Or Hubert, for that matter.
[Action] OH BOY HE'S SPECIAL ENOUGH FOR THE SHIELDS :D
Whether or not he recognizes it's an evasive maneuver, Guy still lets his expression fall into something more serious.]
Someone with some sick intentions, I'd wager.
I'm honestly just baffled no one's even seen or heard anything about the killer. Yeah, the locals are clueless, but you'd think someone would know something important.
[Action]
[At least he's still a dude!]
You'd think. I don't get what the point is though. No one remembers anything so he's gotta be using some kind of drugs or magic...
[Yes, original topic successfully avoided. Not that this topic is any more comfortable...]
[Action]
Someone really needs to try to ask someone of higher authority. They're keeping an eye on all of us anyways.
I asked Zelda to leave it to one of the investigators... but I'm pretty sure she's going to try for it anyways. [Sigh. God, the woman is more stubborn than Natalia when she's on a mission.]
no subject
[Pretty certain no one in the entire bubble wants that. Hell, she's even on decent terms with the hulk of a Troll that used to live next door.
Not to mention he would tear down the entirety of Vatheon looking for the sonovabitch.]
no subject
Right.
She's so determined to figure out who it is... I'm just concerned that she's not handling it with a clear mind anymore.
The last thing she needs to do is go running straight into trouble because of that...
[Not like talking her out of it had been successful in the least. Ugh. Zelos, how do you deal with your roommate all the time?]

I think I'm gonna get her to help me drag Colette and Sheena here until after the danger's passed. They're both in those stupid comas and can't really defend themselves like that, y'know? With more people to take care of directly, hopefully she'll be more careful.
[He'll have to say just the right things to keep her in check. He doesn't particularly like manipulating her like that but it's for her own safety.]
/trips in here super late uuuugh
[How dastardly of you.
He sighs, rubbing his fingers against the bridge of his nose.]
If it's the only way to keep her from doing something she'll regret, then I guess we've got no choice.
I just wish she'd listen a little better.
It's fine, bro~
[Zelda's inability to leave well enough alone, especially when there are other people taking care of it, is definitely a point of contention between himself and the princess.]
Y'know, this is why princesses have to be rescued so often. They're too damn meddlesome for their own good.
