This is a technology unknown to him, so he believes he's talking to some kind of mirror thing. Plus, he's rather cranky from being wet and in an unknown place. He will just say random stuff to the mirror, and then end the feed.]

Good evening, Cain. You are looking terrible tonight. You should try to find a way home. [You can see him looking around.]

Or a place to stay, I do not know what this city is...

[You hear him sigh, and then he turns off the feed.]

[The last voice he expected to hear was that of his lord. It made Riff drop whatever he was doing and go straight for where he knew he'd left his SFC.

And then he paused.

Yes, he wanted to talk to his Lord Cain, but, considering the words Riffael had said, how much he had hurt the person most important to Riff...could he honestly blame Cain if he didn't want to hear from his butler?

But maybe he was from an earlier time, when things were brighter. But then how would he explain the current situation here? Maybe it would be better if Cain hated him, it would spare his young lord the pain and humiliation of what had happened here. Maybe.
