001 ( video | action )
[Cain finds himself arriving at the Plaza, his expensive suit and top hat completely drenched. He finds a device close to him, and randomly punches some buttons and shakes it until he gets a video going. This is a technology unknown to him, so he believes he's talking to some kind of mirror thing. Plus, he's rather cranky from being wet and in an unknown place. He will just say random stuff to the mirror, and then end the feed.]
Good evening, Cain. You are looking terrible tonight. You should try to find a way home. [You can see him looking around.]
Or a place to stay, I do not know what this city is...
[You hear him sigh, and then he turns off the feed.]
OOC: Feel free to answer his video or to bump into him in the plaza.

The pleasure is mine, Earl Hargreaves. I'd assumed the same seeing as there are a precious few who seem to hold weight to such a title.
action;
Oh? Are there no titles in this place?
action;
It seems quite a few hold any weight to them. Some carry titles unfamiliar to my ears, truth be told. The city brings in beings from other times and places quite different from our own. As the term earl is familiar to you, would it be correct of me to surmise that London would hold equal familiarity?
action;
Mmmm... I understand... So this world brings in people from different places and times... Interesting... As for myself, indeed, I come from London.
action;
Interesting indeed that the city can manage this much. If I may press further... what year and month do you recall it being before you were brought here?
action;
I last recall Queen Victoria being the ruling monarch, 1880s... Yourself?
action;
It was April 17, 1889 the last my master and I were in our world. I wouldn't suppose you would have heard of the voyage of a ship called the Campania?
action;
action;
It sank, I'm afraid. A rather tragic and messy affair. However, I was drawn into the city before I could witness the aftermath.
action;
I see... I should have heard about it, though... How strange...
action;
Curious indeed... And if I may ask once more... is my lord's name not at all familiar to you, Earl Hargreaves?
[ Because really. If no one's heard of the Queen's Guard dog... ]
action;
I am sure it is an unfamiliar name. But we agree that the Queen during our time is called Victoria.
action;
[ A pause. ]
An alternate London. How this is quite possible is certainly beyond my understanding. Perhaps I've underestimated the coral...
action;
action;
[ Motioning to the dome over the city. ]
action;
action; I am so sorry
[ Small look of contempt. ]
Doubtless we'll be returned home anytime soon.
action; I am sorry as well! :O
Either way, I still dislike being a plaything or experiment.

My, such tenacity. Perhaps you would rather make the most of this situation?
