[The first thing the SFC shows is Dirk standing in the Plaza, holding up some kind of... skateboard? Only, it can't be, it's too large, the shape's all wrong, and it doesn't even have wheels. If anything, it looks more like a surfboard, though those things toward the back look kind of weird.]

It's about time I saved up enough to get this thing. Maybe when it's actually warm again I'll use it up on the Island. I don't expect the rest of you to have rocket boards, but I'd be willing to bet I'm not the only one around here who knows how to skateboard. So come and show me what you've got.

Why don't we make it all the way around the bubble? Start at the Plaza then go through all of the quadrants and back again.

[And she's going to make her way to the plaza, using it as a warm up for herself. Awww yeaaah, finally gonna race someone!]

[And Dirk will be waiting for her, holding his Rocket board. He doesn't expect it to take long for her to get there.]

[She hovers near Dirk, positively excited by this race. Dash hasn't raced anyone in Vatheon before. Sure, she's kicked some serious hindquarters in the MMORPG curse, so much so that she came out winning the whole tournament spectacularly.

There's just nothing quite like a race, though.]

Heheh, ready? Would you like to do the honors of counting down?

Sure thing.

[Dirk sets his board at the ready, braces himself, and nods.]

On go. One, two, three... GO!

[Then, in a moment, he's shoving off as hard as he can, revving up the board's engines and kicking off a trail behind him.[]

[Dash isn't quite as fast to start up, maybe a half-second behind Dirk. Still, she's quickly neck-and-neck with the dude, a little surprised by how fast the rocket board goes. It's a good pace for now, thinking that she'll put on an extra burst when she's closer to the finish line.]

[Dirk leans in low, pressing for what advantage he can get, this early on. At this rate, he's not going to be able to get a quick and early lead on Rainbow Dash, but he's not about to slow down, either. Instead, as they come to the break in the bubble that leads into the first quadrant, he swings down low, close to the ground, and grabs onto one of the lightpoles that line Vatheon's streets in order to pull himself into a sharp turn.]

[Dash takes the sharp turn easily, having an advantage over Dirk on that front. She grins cheekily at him.]

That all your cute little rocket board got, Dirk?

Like fuck it is.

[It doesn't exactly have fancy tricks the way something like Brobot or Lil' Seb might, but he's still not done pushing it, or himself, and he's pushing to gain on her still.]

[She grins at him, matching his pace. For now.]

Then show me what it's really made of or it'll be eating my cloud trail, heheh!

[Dirk crouches even lower on the board, angling it to follow the curve of the bubble, practically right along the edge of it.]

[Dash takes the curve almost lazily. As the two near the last leg of their race, she starts accelerating.]

[Dirk pushes the board forward to catch up, but there's one last curve ahead, one that he can't make quickly. It's enough to keep Rainbow Dash's lead, no matter what he tries.]

[Then she'll cross that finish line and breaks to a stop. She's panting a little, but she's pleased.]

Heheh, that was a close race, I thought! If that thing could've taken sharp turns easier, then I think it might've ended in a tie!

[Dirk banks into another low turn at the finish line, jumps off his board, and captchalogues it.]

If this thing wasn't shit at turns then I'd have one, let's be real.
