[This part is rather silly, but he's curious. It's clear from his surroundings that he is in Bar HOMRA, a fish tank with red fish behind him.]
Vatheon, I have a question. If it was a certain number of days until your birthday in your world when you arrived, would you call the day that many days after you arrived your birthday? Or would you call the day that you've always called your birthday your birthday still?
[Basically, the day after you've lived that many more days, or the date. He's curious. Partially because he's wondering if he should call himself 23 or not.

We need to talk, King.
[He's rather obviously on the couch, waiting. King has to come down sometime, right?
...He'll probably be too hungry to pay attention. Should he cook while he waits...?

That's true! But it could give you more memories with all of your friends. Though, I don't think mine'd like me changing the day very much.
[But his is on Valentine's Day, so they might not care too much...]

But never the less, the day is important. It means you're getting older or growing up, depending on your age, of course.

It's like a day to mark how far you've come in the year, since you grow up and get older everyday.

[...yep. His birthday. Not that he really needs gifts on more days...It sounded like fun to have another important day.]

Yep! I got a lot of chocolate because of it.
[But he is pretty sure all of it was obligatory chocolate, not feelings chocolate.

White Day was always interesting.

Lots of them! Sometimes they told me not to bother since they meant it as a birthday present, but it usually took a while to give everyone something.
[Just in case they were just saying that. People do that after all.]

[He wouldn't have minded if they just did something together, as HOMRA, for his birthday instead of getting him something. Maybe even preferred it. Memories are more important. Except it was Valentine's Day, so they'd probably get interrupted a lot if people recognized them...]

[Really, he just doesn't need or want much more than he already has. Spending time with his friends is already the best gift he could ask for.
And chocolate melts and flowers wilt.]

Explaining that he didn't have electricity, water, or food at times because of his adoptive dad wouldn't help. Not very much anyway, and Anna told him he wouldn't live very long if he stayed around Mikoto. Other things were more important.]
