[This part is rather silly, but he's curious. It's clear from his surroundings that he is in Bar HOMRA, a fish tank with red fish behind him.]

Vatheon, I have a question. If it was a certain number of days until your birthday in your world when you arrived, would you call the day that many days after you arrived your birthday? Or would you call the day that you've always called your birthday your birthday still?

[Basically, the day after you've lived that many more days, or the date. He's curious. Partially because he's wondering if he should call himself 23 or not.

Lots of them! Sometimes they told me not to bother since they meant it as a birthday present, but it usually took a while to give everyone something.

I don't see why they don't just give you two lots of presents. One for Valentines day and birthday.

That's too much! It's the same day, so I only need one present, right? One is enough.

[He wouldn't have minded if they just did something together, as HOMRA, for his birthday instead of getting him something. Maybe even preferred it. Memories are more important. Except it was Valentine's Day, so they'd probably get interrupted a lot if people recognized them...]

I can only take care of so many things at once. The gifts from my friends are nice, but... I've never needed very much.

[Really, he just doesn't need or want much more than he already has. Spending time with his friends is already the best gift he could ask for.
