[This is not quite a happy-looking pony. She's mostly confused because....]

Hey, this is, like, July right? Middle of summer and all? On a supposedly tropical island? Well, if all that's true, then why the hay did it get so cold all of a sudden?

[Rainbow Dash scratches her head.]

I mean, I can think of a curse as being why, but what's the point of the cold? I tried a pretty heavy blanket, and that worked about as well as having a threadbare sheet. I mean, I could try a heater, but I don't know where Equius and Darkleer put theirs.

[The pony shrugs. What even is this curse?]

Am I the only one experiencing this problem? 'Cause if I am, then I think I need to see a doctor about it. I am so not down with hypothermia.

You're not alone, and thus I suspect a curse is to blame. I'm on the island now, and I'm freezing. However, my instruments are reading an ambient temperature of seventy five degrees Fahrenheit, and I'm currently standing in sunlight.

[More than a little disconcerting. When she's glowing like this she's usually quite warm, even compared with others. And she loves to soak in the sunlight, but if that's not helping...]

Hypothermia may be an end result of this curse if we do not find a solution. I suggest trying the coral. It helps ward off such medical problems, though it might not keep up warm.

...Holy Celestia, seriously? What is with this curse?

[Dash is not liking this curse at all, man.]

Yeah, well, we might have to use it to help with any problems if we don't figure out how to keep warm.

It seems to be a particularly nasty one indeed. There's almost certainly a catch to it though. We just need to figure out what. If I find anything, I'll let you know.

[Not that it would be necessary, what with everybody figuring it out rather quickly. By the time Kanaya learns how to counteract the cold Dash would probably already be cuddling with dirk and the Zahhaks.]

No. It isn't just you. [And considering she's a fairy of fire, something warm it was rather usual. Especially since fire doesn't help.]

I do get the feeling it is a curse, but how it doesn't let us warm up with the usual method then how can we?

Uhhh...I guess we could run through a list of things that we've tried and failed to get us warm? Blankets totally don't work.

The obvious method, fire doesn't work either.

[She tried at least a few times to be sure.]

And I was so hoping to spend some quality time in the sun. [She sighs, this was bothersome in a sense.] It feels like I'm sitting in a bath of ice cubes. If this is a curse, which I think it is. It's annoying.

Yeah, no kidding. July should be beach weather, and it really doesn't feel like it. I'm really hoping a heater works.

Exactly. its a time to spend on the beach. Not wrapped up in layers on blankets. At least it gives me an excuse to stay in bed for longer than normal, but still.

[Tear covers her mouth with the cute creature showing up on her SFC. Her cheeks might blush a little too. Before she begins to shiver.]

I am experiencing this as well and I don't appreciate this.

Yeah, it's pretty weird when you have fur and feathers, too. Nothing's working for you, too?

[Her face goes into business mode. She'll squeal about the cute pony later.]

No, I have not been able to find a way to stay warm. Do you have any suggestions then?

If you're cold, Dash, you need to let me know! I'll get a heater out for you.

[Someone else looks a little chilly too. Equius isn't freezing yet, but he's wearing a scarf. No sleeves, though. He will never wear sleeves.]

Sorry, Equius. [She grins.] It just felt weird to be cold when it should be pretty warm outside, you know? Hopefully, that heater will work 'cause if it doesn't, then I have no idea what the hay I'm going to do.

[He just can't say no to that face!]

I'm a little cold too, so I'll get the heater out and set it up in the main room downstairs. See you there?

We've probably got a heater around. If not, it's easy to go out and get one. If you're not spending time over at Equius's place because he already got one, that is.

[Dash gives him a teasing grin.]

Don't be jealous, Dirk. I switch with crashing at your place and Equius', so there's enough Rainbow Dash to go around. Anyway, I'm pretty sure the Zahhaks have a heater. It'd be weird if they didn't.

Who said anything about being jealous? Even if they didn't have one I'd bet they've made one by now. [That, at least, he's certain is true.]

Anyway, it's felt cool to me, so it's not just you.

I'm setting up a heater in my hive, Dirk, if you want to come over.
