[She attempts to leap at the wall to block it from view; this doesn't go well when instead it just makes both trolls topple over in a tangle of limbs.]

Okay! So, basically there are four kinds of troll romance. Two are red romance and two are black romance, and for each kind there's a concupiscent quadrant and a conciliatory quadrant. Since you already know matespritship, that one is the red concupiscent quadrant! We call it the red quadrant too sometimes.

The pink quadrant is the other kind of red romance, and that's moirallegiance. It's conciliatory because two moirails are meant to bring out the best in each other, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses. Usually one of the two in the quadrant is higher up on the hemospectrum, so they're more prone to getting angry and being violent, and it's the job of their moirail to soothe them and keep them calm, and in return they protect them and look after them. They also talk a lot to sort out their feelings together and are usually the bestest of friends!

The concupiscent black quadrant is kismesissitude! I guess the best way to explain it is two trolls...or any two people, I guess, hating each other terribly, wanting to constantly one up the other, always having to be better than them. Like arch enemies! This is usually the difficult one for humans to understand since they only hate other people platonically I think...

Yes, yes, that's purrcisely what I mean! It's always the hardest to explain because humans just don't feel that way when they hate someone. But for trolls it's another important romantic attachment!
