[Enjoy a few seconds of Shura's cleavage as she adjusts the height on her SFC, eventually panning it up to a bright-eyed smirk. Some leaves crunch under her heel as she shifts her stance and swings her sword over her shoulders, shaking the feed in the process.]

Oi, Vatheon. Ever since I landed in this place, I've been feelin' a little stiff.

[Wandering around the bubble's been fun and all, but how is she supposed to stay on her A-game without any demons to fight?]

I didn't see any training facilities around, but if there are, I'd like to know. If not, I'd be so grateful if someone let me toss my sword around with 'em for a little bit.

[She offers the most flawlessly entreating smile ever witnessed on the feed. Can you really say no to a face like that?]

Quite a sword you have. A spar would be quite pleasant. The battlefront here has been rather quiet.

That sounds quite entertaining, a good change of pace in this world.

[Well, this should certainly make for a fun fight. She spins the hilt of her blade through her hands and holds it out at her side, eager to get started. And she's showing off, just a little.]

No involving civilians. There's hardly a need for another bloodbath, even if the last one were a prank.

[ It doesn't take long for the samurai to arrive, dressed head to toe in blue samurai regalia. His build is thin, his clothing rather odd. He's the oddball of the lords, yet many know to fear him because of his strategic knowledge and battle skills.

Just not right now, as he approaches with a very pleasant demeanor, his hand resting on the hilt of his katana. ]

[ he offers a small yet polite bow in greetings. No reason to be rude, after all. ]

[Huh, weird getup. Then again, Shura's clothing isn't exactly orthodox. Her trademark jean shorts, fishnets and more-than-slightly-too-small bikini top have always kept her a fan favorite with the priests...pervs.]

[She drives the tip of her demon blade into the turf under her feet and leans on the hilt, offering only a smirk and a nod in return of her opponent's bow. Formalities were never really a priority for her.]

I'm Shura, by the way.

[ needless to say, she was definitely good looking, but that wasn't about to deter Kenshin. After all, his ninja ran around wearing nothing but strips of clothing. Anyway. ]

A pleasure. I am Uesugi Kenshin, lord of Echigo. [ yes, formalities formalities. ]

[Shura's busy sizing him up as she offers a cordial smile. He's no amateur, but he doesn't look like anything she can't handle.]

Fancy title you've got there, 'Lord of Echigo'.

[She could throw in her own titles of 'Inspector,' or 'Knight,' or just her plain old 'Upper First Class Exorcist,' but she might just keep those details up in the air till after they start sparring. Gotta keep things interesting!]

[ His demeanor is incredibly calm. He hasn't moved much quite yet, but he's sizing her up in return. He's observing her movements, the potential range of her sword, the layout of their surroundings. ]

Well-earned, I assure you.

[ as are his more common titles. War god. Dragon of Echigo. Perhaps those would be for later. ]

Hope you won't be too bored fighting little old me.

[Or that it'll be too hard for him to keep up.

Shura smirks and takes a few casual steps back, widening the space between them as she pulls her blade up in front of her.]

Ready whenever you are.

[ his voice sharpens as he speaks. His entire demeanor seems to change, shifting away from his usual whimsical self, as he shifts forward, preparing to draw his katana at a moment's notice. He practices Iaido, meaning that he could fight with both his katana and its sheath at a very quick and accurate speed. ]

[Shura slowly strafes to the right, circling around him at a fair distance as she observes his movements, aiming to study his style of attack before making a move herself. She can always use Dabou to launch spheres of energy at him if he gets too close for comfort.]

So, where'r ya from?

[Just because they're about to lock blades doesn't mean she's through with her small talk.]

[ Kenshin remains poised in his stance, unmoving, watching her carefully, observing her in return. He has no objections to small-talk. It would hardly interrupt his concentration. ]

Echigo, Japan.

Echigo? Tha's the old name for part of Niigata, isn't it?

[...Just how old is this guy?

She pauses several feet to the right of Kenshin, her stance already braced for an attack, and pulls her sword over her head in a swift arc.]

Kirigakure Ryuu Blade Technique: Dabou!

[Curved bursts of energy launch in rapid succession from the raised edge of her blade, spiraling and overlapping as they rush through the air towards him.]

I have heard my region has been renamed after my time.

[ Kenshin is very aware his time is considered 'past' to most here.

He watches her moves carefully, then as she launches the attack, he gracefully evades each one then lands softly on his feet.

ooc: kenshin is like one of the toughest bosses in the game. i hated fighting against him. ]

So...yer from the past?

[That's a little unexpected, though it certainly explains the outfit.

Even more surprising is Kenshin's speed as he dodges every one of her blows. She shifts her feet to a more defensive stance and resumes her circle, bracing for a counterattack.

ooc: ...Hoboy. xD]

[ he stands calmly as he resheathes his katana. A counterattack would be far too expected. Expected isn't really his thing. He brings two fingers to his lips in prayer for a moment as the air around them becomes a bit colder than it was before.

But yer not immortal or nothing, are ya?

[Shura's eyes shift to the air around her as she picks up the sudden drop in temperature. So he wants to make things a little more interesting? Fine with her.

She presses two fingers together around the hilt of her sword and begins murmuring a mantra of her own, forming the faint outline of a barrier as she waits for Kenshin to make his move.]

I am not.

[ though many of his time did, believing him to be an avatar of Bishamonten or the god of war.

The ground grows colder and begins to freeze over. Kenshin watches her carefully, unsure of what sort of barrier she had conjured. ]

Hmm. Are you human? Do you actually need a weapon to fight?

[Vegeta's learned his lesson - weapons users are physically weak, he might kill them on accident. Of course, if she carries that sword for looks like Trunks does, they'll be fine.]

I'm plenty human. I can do a lot besides just swingin' this sword around, if that's what yer asking.

[That's a bit of a weird first question...she narrows her eyes and leans closer to the feed, staring hard at Vegeta.]

Why, aren't you human too?

Of course I am not human. I am the prince of the Saiyans!

[Can't you tell just by looking at his incredibly fabulous hair how not human he is? GOD.]

[Psh. That hair is so last week compared to some of the demons she's run across back home.]

We are a race of warriors. Earth is quite far away from the rest of the galaxy, so it's only natural that you don't know.
