[Axel has been asleep for a little while, a little more than a week, actually, and when he finally wakes up he finds himself staring up at his ceiling, his vision blurry and body colder than it usually should be. Groaning softly he blinks a couple of times and then reaches out for his SFC which is thankfully still on the bedside table. With it switched on, he tries to figure out the date and the time, but his brain is kind of not functioning properly just yet.]

Mm. What day is it?

...And why's it so cold? Thought it was spring already.

[Nevermind that he isn't wearing his Organization coat right now either. Maybe that explains it.]

[For anyone that wants to bother him, Axel will be under his covers as a giant lump. He doesn't want to get up, but make him do it anyway.]

April 12th. [Know how born islanders deal with cold? ...Not very well.] And no clue. It's been unseasonably cold for this time of year.

[Brrrr...]

_{[Yep. He'll be one of those people who bother him in the house. What is personal space? Demyx doesn't even know anymore. He's just crouched at the foot of Axel's bed peering at the Axel-shaped lump under the blankets.]}

...

[Wait. That voice--

Axel had met the Replica not too long ago, so his first instinct is to call him that, but, knowing that the real Riku is also in the dome, he decides against it.]

I figure that's not your thing.

[Axel tries to laugh in spite of himself.]

[As soon as Axel sets his SFC back down he sighs heavily and peers back up at the ceiling. He can't help a nagging feeling in the back of his mind, though, and as he looks over to the side--]

The hell are you doing down there!?

[Because he's needed to check periodically to make sure Axel is still alive. He's not sure what's up with the super-long nap, but he's seen a few other people mention them so he's been hoping it's normal. He does, though, manage to miss Axel's post and just portals in to check on his friend like usual.

Hard to tell if that lump is awake or asleep, though. Creeping around the bed, is any part of Axel visible to make a determination?]

[Yeah, their voices are still similar in some regards. It gets a small 'heh' out of him before he continues.]

Not really. Too used to the tropical warmth, even after all this time.

_{[WHOA BRO DON'T KICK THE FACE.]}

I was waitin' for you to wake up, crabby!

[Axel's zoned out for the most part when Roxas portals right in, but even like this he can sense the Darkness nearby and peers out from beneath his covers. Sure enough, the scent is unmistakable, and as he suspects there's Roxas standing not too far away.

Most of his body is still covered up, though, save for a bit of his face.]

...Hey.

You'll get used to it. Provided that you stay here long enough.

[He pauses.]

Just how long have you been here anyway?

[It's not like there's anything of value to your face to lose.]

Hn.

[Axel settles down a bit from his little scare before he shuffles in closer to the center of his bed and lies back down. He's dizzy and he feels heavy, too.]

You could've just sat in a chair or something...

A year, off and on.

[An unseen shrug.]

Doesn't exactly help that this isn't the usual temperature, even for this place.

[Roxas blinks in surprise and then smiles.]

You are awake.

[After that small relief, he realizes what an image Axel is cutting, huddled up under the blankets and peering out at him like that. He doesn't say anything, but his smile definitely turns amused.]

_{[Hey, the unscarred half still has some value!]}

I did but it got too uncomfortable to play my sitar that way. 'sides, I had to take care of the house. S'my responsibility 'n all that.

[For a moment, Nunnally stared at him. Wasn't it Lea? Hm....]

Today should be April 12th but I believe that it might just be how the weather here is in Vatheon.

[A year, huh. Axel doesn't want to stay here that long...]

I figured it'd be a little warmer than this since there's an island up top and everything.

[Sigh]

Blame the coral thing.

[Axel notices that smile and raises a brow.]

What're you grinning about?

I can take care of myself.

[Even when he's asleep. Well, maybe.]

[...]

Excuse me?

[In a way, yes.]

Hmm. [Axel thinks for a moment.] So I've been out for almost a week, maybe a little more.

You warm enough under there?

Trying to be.

[Axel tugs at his sheets to cover up a little more of his face. He really doesn't like cold weather, that's all, even when it isn't freezing.]

Guess you're not coming out anytime soon then.

[Maybe he'll just go sit on the edge of your bed. If that's cool.]
