But he's one of my best friends and it's his birthday coming up, so... if you want to come over, we'll be doing something to celebrate with him.

I mean 'again.' As in, I knew you a while back, but I know you don't remember anymore. It's not a big deal.

[ This is a d-link he's made here before? But he can't remember having ever been to this world aside from the present. he doesn't understand how it's possible. But he does know that if their hearts were connected, then it is a big deal.

And the guilt he's feeling is weighing heavily on his heart. His memory has always been dodgy thanks to Xehanort. He now hates forgetting things. The fact that he's totally not remembering a friend he's made? Makes him sad.

None of that shows on his face, though. He won't make Caden feel any worse. He'll smile sheepishly, instead. ]

I don't get how, but I'm sorry. I'm willing to make new memories with you, if you are.

[ He wants to be friends. Especially because his heart should already know this person, from the sound of things. ]

Of course. We're friends, aren't we?

I'm glad. Once we're done building Terra's present, I wouldn't mind hanging out.

Yeah, we were. 'Are' I guess, right? If you're talking about hanging out.

[ He shakes his head. ] No, we are.

Just because my mind's forgotten doesn't mean my heart has. I don't think it can do that.

[ Now he'll nod. ] I want to.

It's nice to know you haven't changed.

You wanna stay after we're done? Aqua's food is pretty good.
