[ It's actually not too difficult to figure out the SFC. But it's not filtered to anyone in particular, even if she intended it to be to Cheria, Pascal and Hubert. ]

[ Sophie didn't understand it either, to be honest. ]

I don't know. Mithos said that all humans hate elves because they have pointy ears.

[ Well it's a bit more complicated than that, but she had difficulty understanding. ]

...Mithos is mistaken. I have never heard of such a thing. Why did he tell you that?

[Oh, Mithos... she wants to try and show him otherwise, but she can't imagine that Zelos would be pleased with her if she sought him out.]

I told him I would be his friend because none of his friends were here, and he said he had to be careful because humans hate him.

...I see.

[She can't just leave him, can she? It wouldn't be right. Zelda bites down on her lip, unsure of how to continue this conversation.]

[That sounds pretty tsundere there, Mithos. Zelda just smiles softly.]

Hmm. Ah! I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? My name is Zelda. It's good to meet you, miss.

[ Tsundere sounds pretty legit to her. ]

Hello Zelda. My name is Sophie. It's nice to meet you too.

Are you a new arrival, Sophie? I'm happy to explain what I know about Vatheon if you'd like.

[Yes, yes she is. Zelda doesn't want to reiterate things she might already know uselessly.]

What do you already know about it?

[ HM. ]

We got glubby glubbed underwater by coral, but there's air to breathe. [ Aaand that was pretty much it. ]

That is the gist of it, yes. The people who were transported here by the coral are known as foreigners. These foreigners can be pulled from any world and time. There might even be people from your world that are from a different point in time than you are. We can be identified by the mark of Vatheon that is present on our bodies, though the location is different for everyone. If we show the mark to the natives, we will receive housing and other amenities for free. In return, we are required to touch the coral at least once a month lest we fall into a deep sleep.

[She looks a little disgruntled.]

From time to time our marks will glow, signaling the start of a curse. They last a week, and the effects vary. It can be anything from raining rubber ducks to becoming fairy tale creatures to having your thoughts displayed to the world. Are you following me so far?

[ She nods from time to time throughout the explanation. It SEEMS she understands at least. If nothing else she'll be able to parrot it back to her friends. But what's this? ]

A mark? [ She looks left, then right - not that she'd see the mark since she's fully clothed and all. ]

What are amenities? Is it food? [ Cheria will be happy to know they won't have to pay for the house they found! She falls silent again at the latter. Raining rubber ducks? Fairy Tale creatures? She doesn't understand how this is possible, but at the question, she blinks once and shakes her head. ]

I can't, I don't know where you are. I've been sitting here the entire time.

[What a strange girl. Zelda undoes the top buttons of her dress, revealing the mark of Vatheon just below her collarbone.]

[She'll just wait on clarifying the rest until Sophie says "yes" or "no".]

No, it doesn't hurt. You should have one on your body too.

[Should... she tell the girl to not undress in public? Surely she's old enough to know that at least.]

[ On the plus side, she is at home. Also her outfit isn't something she can easily get out of on the fly. She does tug the collar of the suit outward a bit to peer down, but she doesn't see it. It's possibly on a different part of her body. ]

Maybe it's somewhere else. I'll ask Cheria if she has one.

You get glubby glubbed when you go through water somewhere, and you get zappyzapped when you go through electricity.

I see. Well, if that is your world's term for it, I suppose. Everyone asks different things, really. What to expect, where they should live, what they should do next - how to get out is always a popular question, though the answer is "no one knows".

What to expect?

[ She supposed that and what to do next are the most likely since she already knew about the living arrangements and that there was no way to climb out. ]

Very well, then. Other than the curses, you can expect a fairly peaceful life in Vatheon most of the time. There are many races, but we all try to get along. We've all been pulled her together of course, we don't have much choice. Anything that you need will be provided for by the city. You simply won't be able to return home of your own free will.
