Dream/Video, arrival in the plaza

Dream

It's hard to say who exactly is the one dreaming - it seems like more of a memory, playing from behind the eyes of the one that lived it. There's a plainly dressed brunette woman playing with a small boy nearby, a toddler still really. Though both of them are dirty and a little tired looking, through the eyes of the person watching they're the most beautiful sight imaginable. The boy turns and toddles near, holding his hands out. The viewer lifts him up, earning a gleeful little laugh for his troubles.

"Ride?" the boy asks.

A deep voice responds, "All right, Lloyd."

And the dream cuts out as he starts to regain consciousness.

Action

Kratos opens his eyes, just barely finding the strength to sit up. If this is the afterlife, should he feel so weak? It's certainly not what he expected.

[Lloyd will probably regret some of those words later on, but right now he's hurting too much to care what kind of damage he might have inflicted by lashing out like that. When Kratos stumbles away, he turns his back.

He doesn't care. He doesn't. He should've known how Kratos felt about him anyway. If the seraph had cared about him at all, he wouldn't have betrayed Lloyd in the first place. And if Kratos was his father...

No. No, that had to be a lie. With every fiber of his being, Lloyd fights back against that idea. It's too much. He can't handle everything that that would mean. His own father...

Wrapping his anger back around himself, Lloyd scrubs his eyes to get rid of tears that aren't there. It's easier to fume and call Kratos a jerk.

He never looks back as he storms away from the plaza.]
