Day 25 - [Dream / Video]
[Roxas is sitting with Axel atop a clocktower--the one in Twilight Town, although even those not familiar with the setting will notice there's something very off about it. Where the town below should be is just nothing; the tower seems to extend downward forever. The two friends don't notice, and are in the midst of some pleasant conversation, though the words can't be made out.
Suddenly Roxas looks back. There's a figure just visible around the corner of the tower, smaller than him but in a similar black coat. When he gets up and walks around the corner, though, the figure is gone. Roxas takes a step back as if to turn back the way he came.
It's the edge of the tower. He's falling.
The sensation only triggers a false awakening. Sora sits up with a start. Everything around him is pitch dark, except for a white door. There's someone pounding on the other side. Sora walks up to it and opens it cautiously. There's no one immediately on the other side, but it leads out onto a stretch of beach.]
Your mind's made up?
[The voice is Axel's. Roxas whirls around. The door closes again behind him and vanishes, leaving him alone in the dark. Alone save for faint, indistinct voices, like he's hearing them from underwater.]
[Roxas doesn't wake quickly. When he does he seems to stop breathing for a moment and hurriedly grasps at his hair; there's no mirror nearby and it's the only thing to distinguish. Then, he curls up in a ball beneath the sheets.]
