[Had anyone given it thought, they might have noticed Jade has been missing for a few days after the dream issues. No matter, he can be seen in plain view jogging towards the center of the town, noticeably missing the blue uniform he's always wearing. Instead, it's just black pants and a dark blue shirt.

Why he's jogging can be answered if one just looks and listens. There's a noticeable noise when his left foot comes down and any onlooker can see said leg in encased in a metal boot that stretches up to his midthigh. An opening in the front reveals a thick bandage wrapped around said limb. The entire boot seems to be robotic, clicking and whirring when Jade eventually stops near the coral.

Taking out his SFC, Jade makes a quick call to one Alister Azimuth.]

Ah, Alister, the boot seems to be working fine. I haven't taken it off to change the bandages thus far, so I'll have to see how easy it is to get in and out of yet.

[Ky is walking when he sees Jade, and he pauses in his automatic greeting when he can hear the click.

..What is that?

He hopes it isn't what he thinks it is.]

[Jade has just closed the SFC when he hears Ky. Looking, he nods to him.]

Ky. It's been a few days.

[ Ky's voice and face are uncharacteristically wary, ad his attention is almost all on Jade's leg and the metal boot. ]

Who did that to you?

It was an accident, unfortunately.

[If jade notices the attention, he pays it no mind. It's expected that people would look at the weird thing.]

[It looks as though it might be, but Ky's hardly an expert.]

Yes. Sleeping with this would not have been comfortable in the least.

[ Sophie had been sitting by the coral, patiently waiting for people she knew when she heard that click-whirr noise. Wha? She lifted her head and looked towards the source of the noise. ... s t a r e. What is that odd contraption on that man's leg? ]

[Jade keeps on talking to the person on the other end of the SFC for a while before he seems to notice her. He then offers a nod to her.]

Are you waiting for someone?

Action!

[ She nods, though she's still looking curiously at the boot. Eventually, she looks up to Jade. ]

I'm waiting for Asbel.

Why do you have a metal leg?

[She seems somewhat younger, but Jade nods at her.]

I do hope your companion arrives soon, then.

The boot is for an injury.

Action! Sophie's just in everyone's business.

[He's almost surprised by her outburst, but nods to her lightly.]

[Her ears slowly relax back to their normal position as she peers at the metal boot curiously.]

Did it not heal you? How strange...

[Asking "what happened" is on the tip of her tongue, but she refrains. As Zelos says, she has a problem when it comes to meddling. If he's not terribly adverse to it she can offer healing, but the circumstances of the injury are none of her business.

It was before the accident, and right now, I'd rather let it heal on its own, given the circumstances.

Of course. I'm treating it myself and hopefully it'll be much better in a week or so.

[A lot of time to take up healing, but Jade would refrain from giving it less, given the size and character of the wound.]

[Alister had just been placing the final modifications on his pocketwatch when he notices the alert on his SFC, so when the elder Lombax appears onscreen, he's still looking a bit mucked from blowtorch residue and wearing goggles over his head.

He's glad to see Jade's up and about, though there's still concern over the leg being injured in the first place.]

...hn. Sounds like it could still use some work. Have you had any issues balancing on it? How fast can you move?

No balance issues, but I can't get past a jog on speed. It doesn't seem to want to move faster.

The technology I could come across in the junkyard was rather outdated.

I can make a few modifications, but it won't be perfect. Not unless I'm able to come across some ionic thrusters.
