[Chibi has been watching the network for some time now since his super awesome teacher taught him how, and so far it's been pretty great! He got to have three way conversations, there was the week with all those fun (and not so fun) dreams, and he made a bunch of new friends.

However... There were a couple posts here and there that just, well. They've thrown him through a bit of a loop! Sometimes dull, sometimes colorful, always completely incomprehensible-- and it's high time he asked just what was up with this stuff.

Imagine a brief pause for dramatic effect while the feed shifts from his inquisitive face to the wall beyond, as he questions the populace in the only way he knows how.]

[If there was something to entice him to try replying on this device... A wolf cub is making use of this? Most wolves he knows would have no interest in either the device or human writing, but one so young stuck in this strange city?

He hesitates a moment, but it seems he wouldn't be the only one speaking to the wolf.]

It must be hard to avoid men here.

Roo? [That's a confusing comment! Why would he want to avoid them?]

Wouldn't you rather be among your own kind?

[Like... other dogs?]

Are you unused to that?

[What a sad thought.]

[He shakes his head, wuffling.] Arf! [It's not that he's unused to it. Of course hanging out with other dogs is fun, but he's got to be impartial! Being the sun and loving all life means spending time with all of that life, too.

And, it's more fun that way. :3]

[Perrin smiles slightly.]

Would you mind showing me where you are?

[Because it would be many times easier to speak with you in person.]

[Gladly! The view moves from the wall, spinning quickly around in the room, up onto the bed, then out the window.]

I can find that.

[He carefully turns the device off and sets out for what he recognizes from the cub's location. He wasn't particularly close--probably why he couldn't sense you--so it'll take him a bit to arrive, but find the place he does. He reaches out with his mind as he approaches, offering a greeting.]

((I dunno if you know anything about WoT, but Perrin is used to talking to wolves sort of telepathically through scent/images. So anything Chibi intentionally directs his way, he'll pick up on.))

((Oooh, that's cool! *^* With the way understanding god-animals works in Okami/den, I think it should be fine if he understands Chibi, though I can't speak for KP when it comes to Ammy.))

Aroo?! [Whoa! Greetings from where? Startled, Chibi jumps back, smacking his head against the open window frame and dropping his SFC on the ground below.]

[Oops. Perrin's close enough now that his eyes pick up the movement in that window. Probably this cub's never encountered a wolfbrother before.

It's me.

Perrin sends the image of himself nearing the building.

I didn't mean to startle you.]

Woo... [Give him a moment, he's still reeling from that hit to the head he just took.

It's okay, really! Just, one more second... Ow.]

[Perrin comes up to the window, looking apologetic.]

You all right?

[...Yes! Yeah, he's good! Chibi rolls over and sits up, shaking his head to clear the last of the stars from his vision.]

Arf!

[Oh, that's good.]

I didn't realize you wouldn't know about me.

[Because he's still assuming it's the sending coming from a human that was the shocker.]

[Well, of course he's surprised! Animals he can talk to, and Poncles, but regular humans... No, only his partners could ever pick up on what he wanted, and even that was kind of hit or miss.

All water under the bridge now, though.]

There aren't many like me where I come from either. I've only met two others.

[He doesn't share it, but he can't help thinking of Noam, and the unease shows briefly on his face.]

Roo? [He reaches out the window, poking at Perrin's arm with a worried paw. You okay, bro?]

[Perrin nods, but for all that he tried to shut out the wolves at first, he's never really felt compelled to lie to them. They're more honest and straightforward than men, and it makes them easy to trust.

Still, this is just a cub he's only just met. Leaving out anything explicit, he tries to convey a sense of danger associated with being a wolfbrother. Some of the suspicious looks he's gotten for those golden eyes.]

Woo... [Chibi winces at that- discrimination wasn't something he'd ever experienced at home.

That doesn't look any fun at all, dude.]

My world is a dangerous one. People don't always know what to be afraid of.

[He shakes his head and smiles slightly.]

It's good if you'll never know it.

[Chibi snorts at that. In his world, it's his job to make sure people don't have anything to be afraid of!]

Aren't you a little young for that?

[Not that the wolves consider Perrin very old either...]

Arf! Rrr... [And now he looks indignant. Too young! Really! That's what all those demons thought, too.]

[Demon? Perrin tilts his head.]

Do you mean shadowspawn?

[Sorry, cub, but he really can't imagine you fighting those.]
