So did I miss anything ridiculous? Zelda gave me a general rundown but she doesn't much keep track of personal gossip or anything. Any weeping in the streets over my absence~?

Oh yeah, sure, there were women throwing themselves to the cobble in grief every day. Songs of praise and remorse, demands that you be sent back immediately, a statue carved in your honor. It was quite fascinating.

Ah, yeah, she told me about that. She's got a stockpile of those water breathing tunics from her world over in our spare room, I guess as a safety precaution? I guess she's not completely paranoid... or, y'know, she kind of is, just also right.

Well, your assumption's pretty correct. She managed a lot more information than I did, by far, and I can't really say we've gotten anywhere substantial. But we've got a way to track the coral's power levels, as well as notes on previous experiments with the coral. Even if Zelda's precautions seem a little extreme... we really don't know if this is going to happen again, or what it might mean for the safety of the city.

I know at least one of us is planning on digging into the administrative voicemails to see what they have to say about it. No word from them yet.

Eh, well I guess one of you will tell me if there's anything you need me to do. I'd been trying to get information out of the locals before everything went down but I had no luck. I might now with changes to the coral, though, who knows.

The administration's never been all that helpful, really, but that Carol chick seems to be at least a little on our side. Just watch out for that nurse lady. Man, she's terrifying.

Locals haven't really been cooperative, but no harm in giving it a shot. We'll keep you on base about things otherwise. I know Zelda was working on something before she tried any contact, but I'll go ahead and give Carol a call later this week. Maybe she'll have something interesting to say.
