[Ow. Katsu was just going to go lock his door on his way out from his apartment and suddenly he has a giant key in his hand and it ends up smacking him in the face.]

[... Vatheon, why do you even.]

[So now he's in the park, staring at it with the most unsure face. How does he use this thing? Sob.]

[But other people should know. So he turns on the video.]

So... uh. Vatheon's pulling something again. If you wake up with new powers or as a new species or something try not to panic and level the city, thanks.

And uh... Riku? Mickey? Anyone from that world? I could use a hand.

Even with the magic I usually have I don't think I can do that. ... Sorry.

[Eventually, a black-haired boy who looks older a bit older than Riku manages to literally stumble his way over.]

K-Katsu!

[Oh. Oh, that must be him. He tries not to laugh and stands up, heading over to put an arm around his shoulders to steady him.]

Careful now.

[He catches that look :|]

I-it ain't that funny!

I'm sorry. You're right, it's not.

[He leads Mickey over to the bench to sit down.]

[Aw, now he feels bad. But he does sit.]

How're ya feelin'?

[It's okay, he's not being totally serious.]

... Calmer, actually. Wherever magic comes from in your world, it's a lot different than mine.

[He holds up his Keyblade and just stares at it.]

Though I don't think my neighbors thought I was that calm when this appeared out of nowhere and I whacked myself in the face with it.

[Pfffft. He has to bite down on his lip to keep from laughing.]

I'm sue ya can get the hang of it. Keyblades are connected to their owner, and show up when your emotions are strongest. Ya don't even have ta be trying ta summon it and it can appear, if yer feeling strong enough.

Yeah, I was locking my door - oh.

[He's seen Riku use it to lock and unlock things before.]

Maybe that's why? I don't really know how this stuff works in your world - I've just gotten bits and pieces.

That ought ta do it. It's designed ta open anythin' with a Keyhole.

[He nods, and tries holding it with two hands. It's a little easier this way, as long as he holds it like a baseball bat.]

How do you cast magic with it, by the way? I figure with people getting lots of weird powers they might not all be in control of them...

[And if anyone got his... well. They were probably screwed.]

Well, I dunno what spells ya got with ya, no matter what it is, ya just aim the keyblade at whatever ya wanna hit.

[he holds out his arms, miming holding the keyblade with both hands.]

[Katsu nods, and points the keyblade away from anyone, at a spot on the grass. He concentrates for a moment, and then a fireball shoots out the end of it.]

[... Fortunately it only lightly scorches the grass thanks to the morning dew, but he grins.]

Figures that's one of them. My first skill at home was an Agi skill, too.

[He whistles, impressed.]

Well, we just call it plain old fire, but it looks like ya got the hang of it.

I kind of have a knack for magic. In the Lockdown my friends and I had to take on different roles - I was the heavy hitter in magic terms.

Then it sounds like this curse went easy on ya.

Pretty much. It could've been a lot worse.

Do you feel different, aside from the uh. Body change?

Hm... I suppose not. I can't summon the Keyblade, or use my magic... but I still really feel like me.

Well that's good, at least.

[He concentrates for a moment, trying to give the keyblade a command - there. It disappeared. He walks over to Mickey and puts a hand on his shoulder, smiling.]

You'd be you anyway, though.

[That gets a big smile out of him.]

Aw, thanks.

You're welcome!

[He grins a little wider.]

You've still got the same heart and mind, after all. It doesn't matter what you look like.
