[Judging by that loud yawn, Mickey has taken one of his lazy long naps. he rubs the sleep out of his eyes, and turns on the device, ready to start the day.]

I heard there's some commotion goin' on... Is everyone okay? If anyone needs me, I...

[... Wait. Something's not right. He pauses, pulling back his hand, and then... it clicks.]

W-W-W-WHAT HAPPENED TA ME?!

[ Kohaku's trying not to laugh at all, though the expression on her face makes it pretty obvious that she's amused, at least. She kneels down and offers both of her hands to him, in the case that he wanted to take them. ]

It can be kind of tricky if you're just learning.

[Goodbye, pride. He sighs, and tries to take her hands.]

It's a whole new sense of scale...

And just think, you'll get used to this right before changing back to your old self ~

[ She just had to tease him a little bit. Sorry, Mickey! She's a little troll. She takes his hands firmly in her own and stands up, trying to help him to a standing position. ]

[He gives her a puffy-cheeked pout, but begins trying to stand up.]

No offense, but this just ain't my style.

[ the puffy cheeks were kind of cute, actually. ]

Just take it slowly ... it's just for a little while, but you'll still have to learn how to walk the way we do if you want to be self-sufficient for the duration of this thing.

I just hope no one needs my help while I'm stuck like this... I dunno if I'd be any use. I don't even like the idea of Minnie seein' me like this.

Minnie's your wife, right? [ She remembers him mentioning her the last time they talked. She smiles. Awww, yeah, they seemed cute. ]

I think Minnie would like to know that this has happened, so that she can help you out when you need it. I know, it seems really embarrassing to be seen in such a way when you're not used to it, but the people who love you will always be there for you when you need them most.

[ She sounds like she might just be speaking from experience. Kohaku's patient as she waits for him to make his way to a standing position. She'll help him take it one step at a time ... literally, in this case. ]

I just hope she doesn't get too upset that her handsome hubby is changed for a bit.

[... Prideful, prideful brat. But at least he's smiling now.]

But yer right. She's just like that. Guess ya'd know best about it, huh?

I think she'll love you no matter what you look like!

[ When he brings up that she would know, she laughs a little, her cheeks darkening a little in a blush. ]

Shing and I are the same way ... I guess I do know about that, a little.

Shing... that yer special someone?

[ She nods her head. ]

He is. And he really is someone very special ...

[ She could go on about how special he is, but she was sure that Mickey could see how much she cared about him. ]

[He does! And it makes him beam as he manages to stand up.]

I'm glad. Ya deserve a good guy on yer arm.

He and I have definitely been through a lot together.

[ Really, they have. You know a guy's a keeper when he will travel all around the world to retrieve all the shards of your broken heart for you, and he's only known you for a few hours.

Kohaku noticed that Mickey is standing now, and she beams at him. ]

There you go! Let's let you get used to standing for a bit before trying to take steps, okay?

R-Right! I can do this!

[He lets go go her hands, and tries to go perfectly still.]

... It's not too bad, I suppose.

You get used to it, really. It usually takes humans a lot longer to learn how to walk, but I think since you already have some experience with walking in another form, it'll come a little easier to you.

[ she'll still stay nearby to catch him if he needs it, though. ]

Okay, so ... when you feel ready, try taking a step toward me. [ She'll take a step or two back ... just enough to be within reach if she needs to rush to catch him. ]

I've got you if anything happens, so try not to worry so much, all right?

[Okay... so he should take it slow and steady, right?

NAAAAAH. He stretches one leg out, intending one big stomp. You can imagine how well that goes. W-w-w-wobble, flail-]

Uh-oh!

[ Whoops! That's not the way to go! Kohaku, prepared for something like this, rushes forward and catches him and steadies him before any more catastrophes happen. ]

Gotcha!

[Thanks, pal! He clings to her for a moment, with a sheepish grin on his face.]

... Hi there.

[ No prob! She can't help but grin right back at him. ]

How're ya doin'?

[He clears his throat, trying to stand back up.]

Maybe slow and steady will win the race.

[ she nods and lets him go once he's steady enough to stand. ]

Right, try it that way.

[ She returns to where she was before, ready for him to try again. ]

[All right, let's try this again. Going very. very. very. very.

Verrrry slowly.]

[ She's patient! She can wait for him. Really. Slow is probably what's going to help in this case. Come at me, bro! ]

( ooc: there's actually another accented character I'd like to play, but his accent is so much a part of his character that I'm a little afraid to try it. xD )

[Step one accomplished! And he looks so gosh darn proud of himself.]

[ She smiles brightly at him. Good job! ]
