A pity to see the pokemon go with the conclusion of a curse. I do wonder where I might adopt a pokemon myself. The glaceon was quite the perfect fit for an icy samurai such as myself. A companion in training, combat, and every day would be quite enjoyable. Moses-kun is quite pleasant company, though he flees in the sign of trouble. Perhaps for the best. He is not the combative type.

Pokemon? You mean those cute, animal-like creatures? I think I saw a couple of them during the last curse... Would they make good pets or companions?

Indeed. I found myself caring for several, but one always stayed by my side. I know of several who care for pokemon; they do seem like quite the perfect companions.

They do seem to be really cute and interesting creatures... How do you get one, though?

I am unsure. I had only received some as a result of the last curse.

So they got sent back at the end of the curse? That's unfortunate.

Indeed, it seems so. The house is quiet without them. I believe Moses-kun misses them too.

You could probably find a different sort of pet here in Vatheon, if you'd like one. [he would be lonely without his Pokemon, too, he knows how that goes]

Who is Moses?

I know of no other pet which is battle ready. [ which kind of takes the fun out of it too. ]

Well, at least you understand that aspect of Pokemon. I remember a few times in the past, people from different worlds would say it was cruel or unfair to battle Pokemon.

And he's just a... well, normal, I guess, cat, then?

People say that war in unfair and cruel, but it is hardly uncommon.

Indeed he is.

Well, I wouldn't say Pokemon should be used for warfare, really. Just normal battles between other Pokemon. [they shouldn't be used, but there was at least one gym leader from another region he read about that claims they had been used for such purposes.]

...huh. What's that like? I've seen the 'normal' animals around here quite frequently, but I never really paid them much attention. I've always had my team with me, so I never thought to.

It was simply an analogy. [ though having a companion in war wouldn't be a bad idea. ]

I suppose they are normal for me but perhaps not for you. Moses is quite the affectionate creature. He does love sitting on laps but prepared for battle he is certainly not.

So sitting on laps is all he can do? And yeah, we don't really have much in terms of these sort of animals back home, at all.

Indeed. His greatest skill is to chase a jingly ball across the kitchen.

[He kind of laughs a bit at that because, well, it sounds kind of funny to have that as his greatest skill.]

Can he be trained at all, then? I'm assuming you trained him to catch the ball.

I do not believe so. I have not trained him to chase the ball. It was something he simply did. Previous attempts to train him have failed.
