[Jade's spent most of his week by the Coral when he wasn't at home, studying it and monitoring its progress for consistency and trends in its power. A little later in the morning, he sends out a broadcast.]

It seems the Coral's power is going back up, even if it's a bit less than yesterday and still significantly lower than last week. However, I'd like to gather anyone who has information on the Coral and past instances with this kind of phenomenon; similarities and differences alike.

[ While Jade might be asking for assistance regarding the Coral's fluctuating power, Patroklos is just trying to understand what's happening around here. Just a few days ago, he saw normal men become beasts and others become anything other than themselves.

Not too fond of the Lamufao or its curses, the brash Athenian automatically confuses Jade for one of those strange cultists. Why else would anyone show such concern for the Coral? ]

Why do you show such interest in it?

[Jade sighs, a brow risen as he looks at the annoyed man, but an amused smirk on his lips all the same.]

Yes, let's destroy it and watch as the ocean collapses around us, killing us all in one swift blow of stupidity and brash lack of foresight.

[ Wait wut?! No one told him that the Coral is the reason why the dome around the city exists. ]

Oh, really? I thought it'd be amusing to watch you try, and the affect could be documented. Who knows what else the Coral is in control of or how effective a physical attack would be~

I do not know much about the coral's current action. However, I do want to take the time to ask you about the coral in general. I have not gotten a chance to research it as much as I would like.

[The voice catches him off guard. It's familiar, and frighteningly so. Jade takes a moment to stare at the SFC for a long moment before he tries to reason with himself. He's been at the Coral almost all week, he couldn't have missed her if she'd come. He can only asses she just sounds like the professor, even if the voice is so unnaturally close.

He removed himself from his thoughts, shaking his head a bit. He cleared his throat before he spoke carefully.]

I can't guarantee anything, seeing as I'm not completely sure about it myself.

[ The reaction that Raine received from Jade was... curious so to speak. It wasn't something that she had expected but it seemed best not to question it. ]

That is all right. Gaining even a small bit of knowledge could prove useful in researching.

[Jade endeavored to keep that reaction from repeating itself.]

What I've gathered so far are just a few things. I've been informed that the last time the Coral's power was low was when it was hit by a ship. At that time, apparently the Coral split in half. Other things I've gathered are simple observations.

[ Raine listens quietly to Jade's explanation. On the other side of the SFC she's making small writing noises as she writes this information down. ] So that would explain the structure of the coral. I've been curious about it's structure since my arrival. What are the observations that you have gathered? Even small knowledge can go a long way in research.

For observations, the Coral seems to bring in new people every month. There are a few weeks of resting, and the Coral will bring in new characters from their own time and place. As odd as it sounds, the lack of physical reaction to the curses and keeping the barrier up seem rather odd to me. There isn't really much to it physically, save for the light it gives off; only really noticeable in times like this when it's dulled. I can only assume it's preparing to do something large, or it's preparing to defend itself. as much as it doesn't exude anything physical, it certainly seems sentient enough to care for itself and the city.

[ While Jade is talking Raine takes the opportunity to write down some notes. ]

I can understand why the locals here consider the Coral to be a deity. To be able to bring a group of new residents as well as be help accountable for the curses that take place on the island while still maintaining the barrier must certainly not be a easy feat. However, it is quite curious on the lack physical reaction. Perhaps something to look more into?

I'll give the same answer as always--yes it's done this before, but no, not quite like this, and yes something is going to happen, because this is Vatheon.

The last time this happened, a gigantic pirate ship crashed into the bubble. And then the coral split in half--but the barrier held firm. I've never seen it even so much as waver, and I've been here since the start. The start of the foreigners, anyway.

[The Coral split and there were no ill side effects? How odd.. He'd imagine any damage would cause an issue.]

Was it the ship that split it or did the Coral do that on its own?

The ship hit the barrier and the coral split.

It looks like there's a cause and effect there, but we're honestly not sure. The barrier repaired itself a moment later, but the coral remained like that.

Other than the recent surges in power of the coral, I haven't recovered much in the way of information about it.

I apologize for the lack of information, but I'm interested on what you come up with as well.

As per the usual, people are rather secretive about any information. Thus far, it seems while I know this has happened before, the Coral seemed to be defending itself against a Pirate ship attack, and that's when it was split in two.

If I can find some people to bounce ideas off of, we should have a better chance at defending ourselves if we truly need to.

It's of no surprise that they're secretive about information. That's how it generally comes, after all.

Yes, sometimes it may prove to be beneficial to combine experiences and strategies.

[Except he's usually not so quick to say something like this. He's still not all for it, but he may yet find some information somewhere.]

Unfortunately so, but really, in the long run we can't do much but find alternate ways to retrieve what we need.

[Jade's not a fan of sharing his own information, but he knows when it's needed.]

Fortunately so, seeing as we have a decent variety of people who have a good amount of experiences.
