[A pause.] I don't think it was because of who I am. It's complicated. I lost some of my flaming memories because of it, and that's a part of why I refuse to be bloody Healed again.

[Though all that time is filled with other men's memories now...he's just stubborn. Most of the memories of when he had the flaming ruby dagger were missing when he woke up after getting healed, so he probably couldn't really explain why even if he truly wanted to.
