The weather has grown quite warm in the recent week, enough to require summer robes to keep cool. The locals have informed me of an odd creation called "air conditioning". Such an odd name, I was skeptical at first, yet this air conditioning is much more effective at cooling the house down than paper fans.

This house does not have enough paper doors to open during the summer either. I do not recall last year being this warm, yet it is hard to say. The months and years seem to blend together the longer I am here.

Speaking of unusual activity, this fishlympics has me quite intrigued. Games of friendly competition. This does sound quite enjoyable. Certainly it is something to raise the morale in this bubble city.

It gets too cold, and turning it off makes it get warm again.

That does seem like quite the predicament. Is there no way to meet in between the two states?

There is a temperature you can set it to. Do you know if it uses celsius or fahrenheit?

I do not know those measurements.

The plaza is a good common location for meeting. Any time will do.

That's fine. I can adjust the air conditioner later today or tomorrow.

I should be at the plaza in about an hour. I have red hair and a sword.

I shall see you then. I wear blue samurai armor. I am told I am easy to find.

[Samurai armor...not what he expected.]

[After an hour, Aya arrives to the plaza, keeping an eye out for, to him, a samurai. Why else would someone wear such armor even in this weather? There is a sword in his right hand, which he grips tightly. He won't leave without it in such a new place.]

[ And sure enough, there is a samurai in blue armor, standing in the plaza, sipping sake from a thermos. Kenshin is armed but his sword is sheathed at his side; his demeanor is incredibly calm. ]

[Aya's sword is sheathed as well.]

[He approaches the other calmly, noticing the other had a weapon as well. Not very surprising.]

The armor is definitely easy to spot.

[ Kenshin takes another sip of sake, observing Aya for a brief second, before screwing back on the lid. ]

So I have been told. Samurai are few and far between here. A pleasure to meet you in person.

A shame, really. [He nods once at the greeting.] Likewise.

A pity, though perhaps for the best. Lords can get territorial. [ he should know. he is a lord. ]

Good point. [Smirks lightly]

I'm Aya.

Uesugi Kenshin. A pleasure. [ he offers a slight yet polite bow in greeting. ]

Come...again? [Not many people would have such a name...what is going on?!]

[ he simply smiles softly. ] It seems my reputation precedes me once again.
